Apparently “taxes” and “shop fees” are the same thing. I went in for a simple oil change and it was $30 more than stated price. I asked why it was so expensive and they said taxes. Taxes were $11 and “shop fees” were $23. The people are super nice, but the business is Scandalous, don’t go here.
Every time I get something “fixed,” they try to get me to pay for the same thing the next time I come in. They probably didn’t even do the work I paid for the first time. You would think they would at least look back and see what they scammed me for last time before trying again. These people are the reason people hate getting their car worked on.
UPDATE: I emailed the woman below and she never got back to me. STAY AWAY

Had been looking to upgrade from my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. One of my coworkers (Cory) recently started working there. They never gave up looking for until they found something that I might be interested in. They found me a 2024 Jeep Rubicon. I’m very happy with our purchase. Continuously harassed me (calls, texts, and emails) looking for someone who I don't even know. Wasn't even just during business hours, it was all hours of the day and night. I asked politely multiple times to be removed, since I wasn't the person they were looking for, and they continued with the harassment. It got the point I had to call the police and report their harassment before they finally left me alone.

My husband and I were extremely satisfied with our experience buying a VW Tiguan at your dealership. We were especially pleased with the service provided by your salesman Anthony Schroeder. He was very knowledgeable, encouraging but not pushy. He was always keeping in contact with us to see if we wanted to pursue buying the Tiguan. He was able to locate the specific color and model we desired.
He very thoroughly went through all the new technology in the car so we coukd feel comfortable driving it. Very satisfied with our experience .

This facility values the client's needs. With some respectable negotiation on both ends, I was able to drive in with an old car and out with a new one on the same day. 10/‘25 - I just purchased a new 2025 Atlas Cross Sport R-Line Premium from VW of Gainesville. Our salesman, Freddie Hubschmitt, was great! There was no pressure to buy and plenty of patience since I had a hard time deciding what/which I wanted. After the purchase Freddie has continued to periodically check-in with me to see if I had any questions about ALL the technology. THANK you Freddie!

I have been with Volkswagen of Gainesville for the last 7ish years and I am now on my 3rd lease because they are seriously unmatched when it comes to customer service and going above and beyond for their customers.
I have had the pleasure of working with Hannah Chayak for each of my leases and it’s is truly one of the reasons I can’t see myself switching to another brand. She is always so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable when it comes to the process and it makes it that much easier for which I’m so thankful because as we all know.. dealing with cars can be stressful. Even after relocating to Tampa, I’d still choose VW Gainesville solely because of the team and customer service over the last 7 years. Thank you so much to everyone there, but especially Hannah!
