Wards is my favorite grocer in Gainesville! They're my usual stop for fresh produce and meats, and they have a duversity of bulk dry goods (grains, sugars, salts, snacks), spices, and teas. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful, and Wards always has fresh flowers and an assortment of plants out front. They don't usually have a lot of choices for brand packaged and processed dry goods (like different kinds of popcorn or canned drinks), but everything else I can usually find here.

Love this place. It's locally sourced food from farmers in the area. The meat is outstanding. It's been around for decades, family owned. I drive miles, especially to go here

Have loved Ward’s as long as I can recall. Great, fresh, and primarily local produce. Butcher shop with great selection of cuts and fair prices. Wide selection of local coffee and loose teas. One of the best parts is their aisle of serve-yourself products (dried beans, grains, nuts). Won’t find another store around like it!

Ward's Supermarket reminds me of growing up in my small hometown.The butchers behind the meat counter are very knowledgeable and all the employees are very friendly and helpful. The meats and fresh vegetables are top notch . There is always someone checking the vegetables and meats. Also staff is located throughout the small store for your convenience I have enjoyed shopping here and so will you.

Great great great! I am hooked on the peanut clusters. Meat fresh of a variety that other stores are lacking. Barbecue neck bones. Yup, that's right. Veggies fresh fresh from local farms. They have red sausages. Lots of fresh grains. Plants, Roses, Herbs, and vegetables. Always a busy place.

Great local grocery store with fresh produce and a good bulk section. They carry a decent amount of local vendors and the staff is always friendly.

I left Gainesville in 2001, but I still remember going shopping with my mom and we loved it. They had great produce back in the day and they still do. Ward's was Wholefoods B4 Wholefoods
