Two stars for today, though they have been trying my patience in general recently as a whole. For one, none of the staff seem to know where any of the merchandise is: you're better off searching the aisles yourself for things in my experience overall. However, the larger issue today was the worker who was supervising self-checkout. I actually prefer self-checkout: it's faster and at Publix, Target, and Enson Market it works fine. Not the case today at Whole Foods. The lady supervising first stopped me as I was weighing some cookies in a bag from the cookie bar. She cautioned me "are they really from the cookie bar?" Well, yes, they were. I had to assure her of that twice. Then I had four energy bars which would not scan, so I told her. She checked on them then announced she needed to consult a manager or someone. She went and got him and he said he couldn't let me buy them because they were not scanning. I told him I thought they were a new flavor, I'd not seen them here before but bought the same brand in other flavors before. He said still, he couldn't let me buy them. Nor could he enter them into the system. Let me tell you something (and yeah, I told him, too): at Publix they would either have entered the item in the system then and there or just given it to the customer. Yeah. Instead Whole Foods' key-holder seemed both powerless and confused. What does he actually manage, anyways? Making sure he doesn't put his left shoe on his right foot?! The original staffer steps back in after that and tells me my basket was touching the scale's edge and my parsnips I'd just weighed might be the wrong weight. Maybe she was truly trying to help, but I checked the price and it seemed right. Moreover, there's a lip around the scale on the self-checkout and it would be hard to trip the scale by accident. I think it self-tares when it enters weighing mode anyways. I suppose she was new and trying to do her job well but did come off as pushy and intrusive. The fact the manager could not let me buy the energy bars though was next level: no store should have items for sale which customers cannot purchase and when a glitch in the system is encountered, they need to remedy it on the spot. Publix and Target manage to do that each and every day. Maybe go home and watch some reruns of Star Trek, Mr. Manager, so you can learn how run your enterprise.

it's just your average Whole Foods. Some of the workers they are super friendly and some of them aren't. Did you run out of stuff sometimes but that's rare. They have delicious breads and their cheese is very fresh which I enjoy. Times are out of bakery items including croissants, or cookies, but that's also rare. I don't like their salad bar. It looks like the foods been sitting out for a long time, it probably has. Their salad bar or food bar runs out of food, but this is a college town so that's expected. It's just your run-of-the-mill average grocery store.

Gainesville is moving on up!Back in my ol' college days, well, you'd never find such a shabby grocery store, much less a Whole Foods. The whole organic thing really hadn't caught on yet, at least in Florida. Sure, you had vegetarians, but it wasn't to the degrees we have now.Anyhow, stopped here on my way to Tallahassee. Had dinner there. They had many options, but admittedly it seemed they were missing in action. Thank goodness I waited a few minutes because honestly that chicken I had was juicy. It definitely hit the spot, especially as I got to sit down languidly and enjoy it with my companion.Definitely wish the one in Tallahassee looked like this one. Heck, this one even gives competition to some of the ones in South Florida. I was left quite impressed. Truly the only reason I'm docking a star is because I had to wait for food.

Whole Foods is the best market overall but the Gainesville Whole Foods should definitely have one of their management go check out the Tampa Whole Foods. Number one the hot bar Gainesville hot bar sucks it's played same boring dry things every time. You would think with all of the students who have a lot of money, there is no shortage Oy teslas charging in the parking lot. That there would be a more diverse hot bar and salad bar. Tampa has much more diversity and New choices. The Tampa bakery is also 10 times better as far as selectionThey are definitely losing a ton of money on that one. Regardless that is comparing the best to The best. You can find a lot of the items for a lot less at Walmart and Publix but there are certain things that you can only get at Whole Foods.

Poor quality food bar. Went there at 5pm. Food should be fresh. Food looked like it had been there since lunch. Dried out. No fruit, missing half the items on salad bar. Worst WF I have ever been in. Soup bar lacking choices. $7.00 for half a cup of soup. $8.00 for small box of salad greens. Won't be going back. Considering the time those foods have been setting out there you have to wonder how many people touched them. Go flu. Go Covid.

Whole Foods had the opportunity to give good customer service and failed miserably. They could have given the Amazon Prime discount and because the request was 2 days over their 30 day policy decided policy over customer service was more important.I was in a shop recently where I was mistakenly undercharged and called to pay for the item not charged, they said "No worries, would I mind writing a review?" Of course I did, 3 places and it was a great place in Seattle that I will go to next time out, but I won't shop at Whole Foods again.

I wanted to try their salad while charging my car near by but the whole kitchen/cafeteria was closed due to covid so I only got some premade salad and a drink. Outdoor seatings are nice, overlook a small fountain. The salad was ok, not fresh, tasted bland and the chicken was super hard. Don't think I will eat there again.
