Two stars for today, though they have been trying my patience in general recently as a whole. For one, none of the staff seem to know where any of the merchandise is: you're better off searching the aisles yourself for things in my experience overall. However, the larger issue today was the worker who was supervising self-checkout. I actually prefer self-checkout: it's faster and at Publix, Target, and Enson Market it works fine. Not the case today at Whole Foods. The lady supervising first stopped me as I was weighing some cookies in a bag from the cookie bar. She cautioned me "are they really from the cookie bar?" Well, yes, they were. I had to assure her of that twice. Then I had four energy bars which would not scan, so I told her. She checked on them then announced she needed to consult a manager or someone. She went and got him and he said he couldn't let me buy them because they were not scanning. I told him I thought they were a new flavor, I'd not seen them here before but bought the same brand in other flavors before. He said still, he couldn't let me buy them. Nor could he enter them into the system. Let me tell you something (and yeah, I told him, too): at Publix they would either have entered the item in the system then and there or just given it to the customer. Yeah. Instead Whole Foods' key-holder seemed both powerless and confused. What does he actually manage, anyways? Making sure he doesn't put his left shoe on his right foot?!The original staffer steps back in after that and tells me my basket was touching the scale's edge and my parsnips I'd just weighed might be the wrong weight. Maybe she was truly trying to help, but I checked the price and it seemed right. Moreover, there's a lip around the scale on the self-checkout and it would be hard to trip the scale by accident. I think it self-tares when it enters weighing mode anyways. I suppose she was new and trying to do her job well but did come off as pushy and intrusive. The fact the manager could not let me buy the energy bars though was next level: no store should have items for sale which customers cannot purchase and when a glitch in the system is encountered, they need to remedy it on the spot. Publix and Target manage to do that each and every day. Maybe go home and watch some reruns of Star Trek, Mr. Manager, so you can learn how run your enterprise.

Decent inventory on fresh and organic whole foods. Could have more types of fruits.Suggestion - there should be a better bulk section with a wider array of organic grains, beans, lentils, nuts and dried fruit. This would push for good quality organic pantry essentials available for better pricing, and cleaner environmental impacts of packaging etc.

It's a whole foods. Plenty of choice of fresh products if you're willing to pay the price. Main thing I buy here is cheese since most places have a terribly small selection of cheese consisting mainly of what I can describe as plastic cheese. Whole foods and fresh market are the only 2 places I would want to get my cheese from with those huge selections. They also have a bunch of amazing pre-made meals and combo lunches that are a decent price for proportion.

I’m a lover of supermarkets!! This one is special because it’s clean, staff is friendly, and the food looks beautiful!! They carry lots of healthy and healing foods and products that lots of other supermarkets do not. It’s somewhat pricey but every now and then it’s worth it visit.

The overall rating for the Whole Foods should be 4-5 stars, however the only knock I have with Whole Foods in Gainesville has to do with how they store their granola which is how it is done around the country. This is the third time I’ve purchased the cherry vanilla granola within the last few months, with the hopes it would be fresh and crunchy when I get home; once again I’ve been disappointed. Due to the humidity here there should be some other manner of displaying and storing this item. When I would purchase this same item up north it was almost always crunchy by the time I would get it home. Unfortunately that is not the case here. Storing it in the bins, as they do does not allow the granola to maintain the freshness it deserve. Unfortunately I do not have an answer/remedy for this other than keeping the storage bins air tight, if that’s even possible.

Yesterday my boyfriend and I experienced a very unfortunate situation at this location,(nothing to do with the store or any members, outside forces) and Ben and Mario went above and beyond to help us in every way they could. They exceeded any level of customer service I have ever witnessed. They were caring, empathetic, and eager to help us. Though our situation was upsetting and disheartening, they made our day better and made us smile. We'd also like to say thank you to the young gentleman who was collecting carts during our time there, who even went out of his way to get us some free cookies. We can't remember his name but he was working from 2-6ish. Thank you again, your kindness and help was so appreciated and did not go unnoticed.

Horrible salty chicken noodle soup! Open a canned soup for better taste, PRICE and lower salt content. The only taste in this homemade soup is salt. Your tongue will curl up and you will drink 1 liter of water for 125 ml of soup ingested. Terrible, don’t buy.

it's just your average Whole Foods. Some of the workers they are super friendly and some of them aren't. Did you run out of stuff sometimes but that's rare. They have delicious breads and their cheese is very fresh which I enjoy. Times are out of bakery items including croissants, or cookies, but that's also rare. I don't like their salad bar. It looks like the foods been sitting out for a long time, it probably has. Their salad bar or food bar runs out of food, but this is a college town so that's expected. It's just your run-of-the-mill average grocery store.

Switching to plant-based is not easy. Whole foods have made the transition a lot easier, Lots of products to choose from. Trying not to consume too many pesticides and Whole foods has a large variety of organic vegetables and organic ingredients to the meals.Lots to learn. Thanks whole foods

I love Whole Foods! Other than it being a great grocery store, I love stopping by for lunch and eating from their buffet section. Aside from that, amazon returns have also never been easier!

I visited their meat department a few weeks ago and one of the butchers didn’t want to help me. He was being very short with me and seemed annoyed. It seemed racist. Even his coworker and the other white man standing there, seemed stunned that hex was acting that way. I’ll visit the store again but never the meat section.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of shopping at Whole Foods, and I must say that I am thoroughly disappointed with the entire ordeal. From the quality of their products to the lackluster customer service, it was a complete letdown.Firstly, the prices at Whole Foods are exorbitant, and I expected the quality of their products to reflect that. However, I was sorely mistaken. The produce section was filled with wilted, bruised, and overpriced fruits and vegetables. It's disheartening to pay a premium for organic produce only to receive subpar, almost expired items. The selection was limited as well, leaving me with limited options and feeling unsatisfied with my shopping experience.Furthermore, the overall organization and cleanliness of the store left much to be desired. Shelves were poorly stocked, and it was a constant struggle to find the items I needed. The aisles were cluttered and disorganized, making it difficult to navigate through the store. It's frustrating to spend so much time searching for basic groceries in what is supposed to be a high-end supermarket. Now, let's talk about customer service—or lack thereof. The staff at Whole Foods seemed disinterested and unhelpful. When I approached them with questions or concerns, they appeared indifferent and unresponsive. It felt like they were simply going through the motions without any genuine care for the customers. I expected better from a company that prides itself on exceptional service.

I love shopping here. Produce is varied and fresh!the store has products ranging from vegan plant based to organic meats and seafood. What is amazing is the variety of all the food categories! There is an on-site buffet for salads and a delicious type already made cold food options to.the left of the store. Never had a bad experience there at all. There is also pizza with many delicious ready to eat and choose sweet options, not to mention coffee! Go.when you can spend some.time it's really a lot to take in. Staff is great and helpful. Waiting to check out is never long. There is too much to mention, so you have to go!

Gainesville is moving on up!Back in my ol' college days, well, you'd never find such a shabby grocery store, much less a Whole Foods. The whole organic thing really hadn't caught on yet, at least in Florida. Sure, you had vegetarians, but it wasn't to the degrees we have now.Anyhow, stopped here on my way to Tallahassee. Had dinner there. They had many options, but admittedly it seemed they were missing in action. Thank goodness I waited a few minutes because honestly that chicken I had was juicy. It definitely hit the spot, especially as I got to sit down languidly and enjoy it with my companion.Definitely wish the one in Tallahassee looked like this one. Heck, this one even gives competition to some of the ones in South Florida. I was left quite impressed. Truly the only reason I'm docking a star is because I had to wait for food.

Usually a great place for a quick lunch. Food here was terrific as usual. The tables inside are next to boxes on boxes on wooden pallets. Make you feel like you are eating in the stock room instead of the cafe. Really bad.
