“The only place like this in Tampa!!! Less expensive than restore and other thrift shops which is awesome, considering it’s Ybor. It’s a gem of a store to stop in to “see what they have this time”, the owners pick up at least one estate sale a week and it shows. Good finds never last until the end of the day so I call it treasure hunting. I’m an artist and interior designer so I’m scoping for everything from cheap frames to vintage desks, and if you need hardy old tools, things made of real wood, and random utilities like camping stoves or cat carriers they’ve got it for basically nothing. Easy to get to too!! right off the highway”

So happy smell of mold and mildew....is gone so I can go there again......the furniture room .......so crowded....less would move stuff quicker. Maybe a one day yardsale outside for all furniture. So it can be seen. Is it all online?”

“This was my cousin and I first time going to lighthouse Gospel mission and food pantry and thrift store what a awesome place they provided enough food for my family for at least 4 to 5 days it was awesome. We met a pastor I do not remember his name unfortunately he is a tall thin Caucasian male with whitish gray hair very warm welcoming professional gentlemen that greeted us with kindness and care upon arrival. The secretary that we first met after speaking with her on the phone earlier this morning she is awesome very professional and informative. I also want to comment on the men of the program that were wearing the green shirts helping with the food drive they all are so respectful so well disciplined and caring these men deserved a serious high five and a thumbs up they are an asset to the organization God bless everyone there and God bless those special men that assisted with the groceries I take my hat off to you all and very appreciative and thankful. “Was walking around for an hour and a half waiting for the women who was stocking to take some speakers out of the stocking bin and put them on the shelf, they have a strict policy on getting anything before it goes on the shelf, after all that waiting some guy just walks up and grabs the speakers out of the bin anyway, at that point I put everything I picked out back and just left. Really bummed out. The no-grab policy only stops decent people from getting the newest arrivals”

“avalon exchange has got to be one of the most worth-it stores to sell your items to! they give honest and fair opportunities to make money or even better - store credit! i’ve been cleaning out my closet with them for the past week or so and they have been even kind enough to say they love my clothes ❤ not to mention their selection is beyond phenomenal! i love how they don’t take flimsy brands like shein / forever21 etc. which makes their selection so unique and you are genuinely guaranteed to leave with a piece you’ll love. i’m addicted to this store, and if the owners of the franchise read this please please PLEASE open a store in st. pete/pinellas county area! i love your tampa store but the drive can be hefty (but worth it). plus the customer pool is just as much if not better than hillsboro county”

These movers did a fantastic job. I have never had any difficulty with any of the employees at this thrift store. I love how clean the story is and the merchandise as well. I highly recommend them as well as these movers.”

I knew he messed up and said something but I don’t think he understood. I will definitely need to keep an eye on him next time. “This is my favorite thrift store in the Tampa Bay Area. I love it for many reasons, but the first is the staff. The ladies who work here are genuinely a joy to be around. They go above and beyond to ensure that you find what you’re looking for, my daughters have been helped, on more than one occasion, find a specific item that they needed, with courtesy and patience. Sunshine is the perfect name for this place, because so many of the ladies here exemplify that brightness in their interactions. I’ve enjoyed coming here and getting to know several of them over the last 2 years. My girls always make a point to say hello to Catherine, Jessica, and Sita whenever we go. The staff is the BEST part of this store. Also, the store is great. It’s not huge, but they have a good selection of quality clothing and housewares. Plenty of fitting rooms. Weekly deals with 2 colors. Sometimes they bring out the $1 rack. All in all I highly recommend.”
