If you ever visit Florida, you’ve got to try some Caribbean/Jamaican food! Whenever I'm in town, I hunt for that ultimate comfort food, and Island Basket certainly delivered this time. I got the goat, and my partner had the brown stew chicken—it was so good, I almost finished the entire thing! The place was super clean and had a nice selection of groceries alongside the food, making it a great one-stop shop. The lunch prices were really good, too! On top of that, the customer service was fantastic—everyone was friendly and helpful. If you’re in the area, make sure to give them a try, mon! You won't be disappointed!

Ordered a small stew peas with salt fish fritters these folks gave me whatever they wanted which was brown stew chicken and rice which isn’t good at all and y’all gave me a patty instead of my fritters it taste good but like really 😑 can’t even get what you payed for no adays !

It’s ok nothing that is going to blow you away…the prices are crazy and much more expensive than any other restaurant from west palm to Miami . If you order a soup do yourself a favor and go have a steak dinner because it’s about the same price. Like damn

Small, but had alot of Caribbean grocery. The oxtail was super tender. Gave a reasonable amount for the price. The clerk was polite.

From the moment I walked in, the place felt so welcoming, with a warm, friendly vibe that made me feel right at home. I ordered the oxtail with rice and beans and the soup of the day, it was all absolutely incredible – the oxtail was perfectly tender, the whole meal was packed with flavor! 😋 I also couldn’t resist getting a slice of their sweet potato cake and a sea moss juice, both were absolutely delicious!
I love that this place also offers grocery options, including sea moss jars! The gentleman working there was incredibly patient with all my questions and genuinely kind, going out of his way to make sure I had a great experience. I highly recommend this place!

Island Basket off Lake Worth Road and Jog offers excellent service and delicious food especially the oxtails. My order is always hot and ready when promised.

Mr. Ashton is always pleasant. The flavor of the food is spectacular. We've tried the Mannish Wata, Ackee & Saltfish, Stew Peas, Chicken & Roti and bought several beverages from this place. Had no idea this place was here after all these years. I've tried several establishments but the flavor here soothes my soul. Definitely will tell my friends about this place. Thank you Ashton!!!

Red flag... If there are no other customers other than yourself, turn around and go somewhere else.This is exactly what happened to us...we stood by the receiving area for about more than a minute before the lone server noticed us. She didn't even say hi, and assumed that we know where we will be seated. In fairness, we can sit anywhere because there are no other customers than us.With the very unenthusiastic reception that introduced us, I didn't want to give them another chance to disappoint me so we left, and we're glad that we did for we found a much better place to eat.Stay away and take your business elsewhere.
