“I booked my rental through Costco Travel, and overall the experience started off great. The pickup process was quick, smooth, and very professional. The staff at the location were genuinely friendly and helpful, easily a 10 out of 10. I also really appreciated that there was no high pressure upselling for extra insurance like I have experienced with other rental companies.

About an hour after picking up my original vehicle, a mid size SUV, the check engine light came on. I went back to the location, and the staff handled it very well. They apologized and gave me a choice between two cars, since they did not have any mid size SUVs on the lot at that time, a Hyundai Elantra Limited or a Volkswagen Jetta. I went with the Elantra.

The Elantra had some really strong positives. The lane assist and cruise control system were excellent, especially in heavy stop and go traffic. The car fully stops and then starts moving again when traffic moves, which made driving much easier. Highway fuel economy was also impressive, and I was getting around 38 mpg.

There were some downsides, though. The seats were okay overall, but on drives longer than an hour they started causing some lower back discomfort, even with lumbar support adjustments. The back seat has limited legroom, which is not ideal for adults on longer rides.

My biggest gripe by far was Apple CarPlay. The car had both USB A and USB C ports, but CarPlay only works with USB A, which is a 30 year old form factor plug. It absolutely would not work over Bluetooth either, which was super frustrating. I ended up having to go to a local Best Buy, buy a USB A to USB C adapter, and only then did CarPlay finally start working without any issues. Why Hyundai, why?

Drop off at Fort Lauderdale Airport was just as smooth as pickup. It was easy to find, the process was quick, and there were no issues at all. Another 10 out of 10.

Even with the initial car issue, the way the staff handled everything really stood out. Thanks to the team at the Hallandale Beach location, I would definitely look to rent from Enterprise again next time.”

You're walking distance to everything: walmart, winn dixie, restaurants, the beach ect... The only bad thing I can say is, that the air conditioning didn't really work, so it was a bit hot.
