“A young man was working Thursday around 2pm, the only register open with a very long line of impatient customers and a return transaction… he dealt with it, while I’m sure flustered, very well! “We needed 60 plus balloons blown up last minute. The manager and one of her coworkers were gracious, kind and so incredibly helpful! I have worked with this manager in the past on short notice for a funeral and she always does her very best to do all she can to help her customers.”

Can be pricey for a goodwill though 💁🏽♀. A pair of used Sperry's with the soles coming out and stains were $15. Mind blowing that they weren't under $10 even with it being name brand.

But just like anywhere else you have to compare and watch how much you spend. lake Washington store has huge cold and freezer section isle are set up to where u find what u need.”

I was frustrated trying to add a new card to my Google wallet and After having to go out to my car and try to figure ot out.. at my second attempt with a different cashier by the name of Joe (I think was his name, with a beard) he was able to actually tell me why I was being declined and assisted me with a successful transaction.. saved me time and prevented an panic attack. “Just pick up certain items at DG a couple times a month. Some items have a better price than Walmart, but most are higher.
Use the coupons and shop on Saturdays. Saturday coupon is 5 dollars off if you buy 25.00.
Don't forget to check the size of the item. Price may be .50 cents less, but item may be 4 ounces less.
DG used to cost less than Walmart, but now DG has changed the size of packaging.”
“There was a incident today at the dollar general the one manager was only making sure her store was good and three costumers had a problem with how she handled it from my point of view she did a damn good job now if it was me I would have done alot more than just say get out of my store”

“Carmen and Sam are the best. They held my bag with home keys, (some sentimental stuff from dad and important paperwork) for almost 2 weeks. “I am a huge believer in the energy that you put out into the world comes back to you whether it be negative or positive is up to you. Today I had an experience at this Dollar General I absolutely reinforced that belief for me. Today I met Sheila, who is an employee at this particular Dollar General. When I came in, I was looking for something in particular, and I asked her if she might know where it might be. She immediately stop what she was doing, and came to help me even going to ask another employee if there was another place in the store that it could be located. I complimented her on her hat. She had a lovely black hat with a rose on it. Then I went about my shopping. I found more cute things than I probably should have, lol In addition, of course, to the one item that I had gone in for. Sometimes, you have to let the dollar store tell you what you need, lol! When I arrived at checkout, I was chatting away with Miss Sheila when she walked away and was gone for a couple of minutes I wondered to myself where she had gone or if everything was OK. When she came back… I was just blown away. She had stepped away to ask her manager if it was OK to give me some discounts on some of the items I had purchased. I was so incredibly touched and surprised that it almost brought me to tears. We chatted for a couple of moments while she was ringing me up about positivity and gratitude and kindness and grace. Hands-down, the best experience I have ever had in a store. Thank you, Sheila for being one of those people that brings light and everyone’s life that you touch. ❤️”

“Dollar General is a convenient place to grab everyday essentials without spending a lot of time or money. Good selection of household items, snacks, drinks, and quick necessities at reasonable prices. The stores are easy to get in and out of, and they’re great for quick last-minute stops. Friendly staff overall and a solid neighborhood convenience store.
One thing I’ve noticed is many of the locations in my area could really use some exterior cleaning and maintenance. A lot of the buildings are covered with mold and buildup from the Florida weather. I’d love the opportunity to help bring some curb appeal back to these stores if I could reach the right person.”
