The Courtyard Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront is a hotel right on the beach with perfect ocean views. The hotel is currently undergoing heavy renovation and construction, which guests report was not clearly communicated beforehand. This means many amenities are closed, including the pool, whirlpool, tiki bar, and fire pit. The construction can be noisy, starting promptly at 8:00am, and there has been limited beach access through the hotel, requiring a walk around the parking lot, though newly rebuilt dune walkovers are now open. The remodeled rooms are described as beautiful, gorgeous, and nice, with remnants of Marriott luxe, comfortable beds, and fresh white linens. However, the renovations have introduced some issues. Some guests report problems with the shower not staying hot and malfunctioning TV remote controls that are frustrating to use. While the hotel team has attempted to address these issues, results vary. Despite the ongoing work and amenity closures, the staff, including the front desk team and construction workers, are noted as being great and wonderful team players.
I traveled and really enjoyed my stay. Hotel is under construction so a bit noisy but can’t blame these great workers they have. Sabrina and Alyssa are totally great!! Wonderful team players!

The dune beach walkovers just got rebuilt, and let's just say, its absolutely gorgeous. Barefoot Marine Construction did an outstanding job and had the beach access opened back up very quickly! I thought it would take months, but it wasn't even a few weeks. Bravo! Hotel is amazing too.

This hotel is lovely and the staff is competent. However there is a 7 day a week construction going on, so not a quiet place. Just an F.Y.I.
