Incorrect pool water reading and sold me unneeded products. Used to be spot on but no longer. Beware of up selling.***********************************Update on my review: Received a call from Jeff at the Jax Beach store today regarding my previous post. He was sooo nice and understanding and explained why chemicals are not allowed to be returned. He resolved my problem to my satisfaction. So, back to 4****.

Nothing but good encounters so far at the Jax beach location. New pool owner and have definitely had some trouble getting the swing of it. But now feel comfortable to where I don't think I will have any trouble handling outside of major issues and will be able to maintain myself. Rich came by for what they call pool school and couldn't recommend it anymore. Rich has gone out of his way to help me after the one time and has no incentive to. Rich is a rockstar! Get that man a raise.

We have been using pinch a penny,700 3rd st south Jacksonville Beach for over 9 years we experience the worst customer service from an Amanda Saver store manager and owner. I have been an RN working with people for 35 yrs. We always try to reconciliate and recovery before we say “You should have called someone else after the first issue!“Surf Side pools are some of the most professional people and wish I had used them! They built the pool. They wanted 2 X’s the $$ for the same thing!! Things have broken down after a filter housing exchange and re-pluming of the filter. We have had 2 different leaks after the re-pluming. Plus the salt cell that is 2 years old, that was working prior to the filter replacememnot working anymore and there is a leak farther down the system.They say we should go somewhere else. They must know it’s their fault and do not want to pay for it. They just need to make it right!!

I have been using this store for my pool care needs for over 5 years. Amanda and her team have always gone out of their way to provide excellent customer service, even when covid left many small businesses struggling to find qualified help.Recently, I had a complex issue with my control panel and the service technician Rich came out, diagnosed it, called Hayward (part was under warranty), and replaced it.I write a review once every 10 years, but this last experience was so above and beyond that I felt it was worthy. Thanks guys!

employe was coming weekly to treat pool. this employee would not establish eye contact or answer any questions. we keep the gate locked for safety, don't want children getting in the pool unsupervised. The gate was locked garage door open with both cars in the garage and the tech can't ring the doorbell? They refused to give us a time window and some days he would show up a day early. So on to better service.

Serviced for years, treated like a nobody. Don’t use these people. I’d recommend Leslie’s even over this garbage bucket. Jeff doesn’t care about you. Quick turnover at best.

Management doesn’t want your business. Left my pump hot for 2 weeks, told me they’d get back. Never heard a word. Nos in out $1200. Don’t go to pinch a Penny

Refused to take back unopened Stabilizer that was sold to me based on an incorrect water test result (that was confirmed by another pool store). Quoted policy at me, but again, purchased based on their mistake. Rude on top of everything else (“we didn’t force you to buy the product”). I just moved closer to your store than the one on Atlantic, but you’ll never see me again and I have major pool equipment refresh to do. All over $42.In response…Yes, she made it clear I was not “forced”. Come on, that is weak. And I was not asked for the results of my second test. If I show that to you, will you accept the unopened jug of stabilizer? I understand policy, but you should empower employees to take care of customers under unique circumstances (rooted in an employee error)

Pinch a Penny here in Jacksonville is great I believe it’s Amanda is the owner she’s very sweet and all her staff were very helpful. We just got a new pool we give her an A+.
