“I was pleasantly surprised. At first walking through we were a bit disappointed at empty enclosures or hiding from the heat animals. However, once the guided tour started we quickly learned those empty enclosures were NOT empty and we would have been lunch in the wild. Lol The animals gladly came out during the tour.
Our guide Steven was awesome. He was super friendly, didn't mind the millions of questions and had a plethora of information for us. It was really cool to watch the animals respond so positively to his presence or absence of in Maddie's case. Inside joke you will learn about when you visit.
They had bug spray and sunscreen for everyone to use and also hand sanitizer.
We are planning our next visit for the nighttime feeding.”

“During one of the most terrible times in our lives, this place helped us stay sane, and comfortable. We felt seen and understood. Ronald McDonald house gives you a place to feel normal when your whole life is falling apart in front of you. Our son is at Brooks Rehabilitation for a traumatic brain injury, they've made this home away from home. Food is provided, you can bring your own and store it, the rooms are immaculate with large tvs. The staff is SO accommodating and helpful. The rooftop terrace has beautiful views and feels so serene. A wi perfume place to breath and remember we are still human while caring for our loved ones. Seriously, 5 stars isn't enough. ❤️”

“It was an honor to have volunteered here this past week! I really enjoyed the time I spent with everyone. Ms. Bree faithfully welcomed me and explained the mission behind this establishment. Mr. Maurice, Mr. Marcus, Ms. Julie, and Ms. Maria were great to speak with. I witnessed great potential in the people here and in what this place has to offer.

Beyond my time tutoring the students here, I was struck by something bigger. Regardless of what denomination we are a part of, we are all one in Christ and belong to his Church. I have great hope in the children that walk past these doors and hope to see them flourish in the years to come. It’s hard to take flight, but we can all start by folding one crane at a time. May the love of God be with everyone here!”

“I attended a music class for babies that was held in the main hall. Lovely event! I think that the fact that it was held in this lovely community center speaks about the club's values and its dedication to all members of the community, even the littlest and their devoted parents.

The building has an older feel, but is in perfect repair. I noticed chairs along the walls, so I assume these are available for events. The center is located in a beautiful neighborhood of gorgeous mansions (old money neighborhood look), surrounded by shade trees. It felt very peaceful and calm.”

“In process of moving have brought several loads of things we don’t want to move here. While sometimes difficult to separate from things we one cared about, know that someone will find it reasonably priced and put it to good work.

This was a great experience. Staff was helpful and very courteous.”

“This shelter is a safe place for many citizens to be able to rehabilitate back to society. It may not be seen an a regular homeless shelter, but it is by far one of the best facilities I have encountered. From the staff to the people who are living there. They provide meals, medical treatment, clothing, and activities for their residents. I have seen people start at this shelter and gain housing, jobs and some even cars! I could go on and on about these facilities but you will.never fully understand what this facility means to a community until you have been displaced or need assistance.”
