“During one of the most terrible times in our lives, this place helped us stay sane, and comfortable. We felt seen and understood. Ronald McDonald house gives you a place to feel normal when your whole life is falling apart in front of you. Our son is at Brooks Rehabilitation for a traumatic brain injury, they've made this home away from home. Food is provided, you can bring your own and store it, the rooms are immaculate with large tvs. The staff is SO accommodating and helpful. The rooftop terrace has beautiful views and feels so serene. A wi perfume place to breath and remember we are still human while caring for our loved ones. Seriously, 5 stars isn't enough. ❤️”

My wife takes 3-4 classes a month — everything from chainmail jewelry to stone cutting and polishing to silversmithing for rings and other designs. She’s even turned it into a small business, Unique Creations by Lisa C LLC. The club also offers classes in bead work and gemstone carving. Whatever you can imagine making, there’s likely a class here to help you learn how. Highly recommend for anyone interested in gems, minerals, or jewelry making!”

Circular Table sits 6 about 16-20 tables, i think. We brought our long rectangular tables for the buffet and dessert ?. The back kitchen has a ample size of center island and window island. ... There a wonderful pond and balcony outside. (Ask permission and remind guest to be careful specially children. ). For what I heard rent is about $25 per hour minimum of 8hrs plus cleaning fee. Check or inquire to be sure. I just came to decorate. We had a great ? Easter. ...”

They are an apprenticeship, so you work for a contractor during the day for a good wage and go to class at night. You have health insurance and other fringe benefits and they don't charge thousands of dollars for school like the 'for profit' schools.”

Mr. Maurice, Mr. Marcus, Ms. Julie, and Ms. Maria were great to speak with. I witnessed great potential in the people here and in what this place has to offer. Beyond my time tutoring the students here, I was struck by something bigger. Regardless of what denomination we are a part of, we are all one in Christ and belong to his Church. I have great hope in the children that walk past these doors and hope to see them flourish in the years to come. It’s hard to take flight, but we can all start by folding one crane at a time. May the love of God be with everyone here!”

“This shelter is a safe place for many citizens to be able to rehabilitate back to society. It may not be seen an a regular homeless shelter, but it is by far one of the best facilities I have encountered. From the staff to the people who are living there. They provide meals, medical treatment, clothing, and activities for their residents. I have seen people start at this shelter and gain housing, jobs and some even cars! I could go on and on about these facilities but you will.never fully understand what this facility means to a community until you have been displaced or need assistance.”

“I attended a music class for babies that was held in the main hall. Lovely event! I think that the fact that it was held in this lovely community center speaks about the club's values and its dedication to all members of the community, even the littlest and their devoted parents. The building has an older feel, but is in perfect repair. I noticed chairs along the walls, so I assume these are available for events. The center is located in a beautiful neighborhood of gorgeous mansions (old money neighborhood look), surrounded by shade trees. It felt very peaceful and calm.”

“Teri is a Godsend! We were visiting from Orlando and needed a wheelchair for my dad, everywhere else was charging high prices, Teri loaned it to us at no cost! We were in and out of there with the wheelchair in under 10 minutes. They even had electric wheelchairs available but it wouldn't fit in our car so we just borrowed the standard chair. Very nice people and great service they provide. ?”

“I have been so blessed to donate items myself and on behalf of The Jacksonville Modern Quilt Guild to the Foster Closet. The work Tammy and her staff and volunteers do is so needed in the community. They provide clothing, toys, toiletries, and any number of other things to kids in foster care. These kids have been tossed around or removed from bad situations. To be able to walk in and shop the racks and pick outfits and toys for themselves must be uplifting for them. These children don't deserve to have gone through whatever they have so every little thing done to support them is a blessing. I read a few negative reviews and I obviously wasn't there for the specific experiences, but yes, they sometimes need our help to sort items and they have they have strict guidelines on what they accept clothing wise. As they say, these kids have been stained on the inside, they shouldn't have to wear stains on the outside. Thank you for all you do, Tammy and crew.”
