“Tried to walk in at 7:45 when they close at 8 which says it on the door, the entry doors were locked but the exit doors were unlocked, I was first ambushed not greeted by Ms. Allen white older lady with pink short hair and she didn’t even say hello the first words were, “We Close in 15 minutes” I had to say hello to her! Julisha greeted me properly and I thank her for turning my not so good experience into a better one considering I’m here ALL the time. Joana is awesome too!”
“I love that they added the five beyond it adds other items that might not be just 5 dollars. These items aren't just some flem flam item either. I purchased type c port headphones for 8 dollars there, and let me tell you, the sound was nothing short of INCREDIBLE!!! Please check it out!!”

“Best Big Lots in Jacksonville!! I went there with a friend yesterday and was impressed with the amazing selections of just about anything you could imagine. Also, the entire store was immaculate! Two different employees took the time to talk to us and answer questions, and we really appreciated that! We made a small purchase and will definitely be going back. It was a very positive experience. We highly recommend Big Lots on Merrill Road! ??”
“Just a little bit of about everything. Great place to wander through and get awesome deals. Just need plenty of time to get through the whole store. There is something for everyone here.They been doing organizing and aisles starting to look neat and tidy.Went here today after a while of not going and the aisles are looking good, starting to organize and actually using the shelves as shelves. “I don't normally shop at this $tree. However, It was a pleasant surprise to find it fully stock, neat and clean. My clerk, Kory was excellent at his job ??. I will visit this store again.The only con, was a freezer was down for maintenance so I'm not sure if that would affect other shoppers. I wasn't shopping for frozen foods so it wasn't a problem for me.”
“This was my 2nd visit to the store. The 1st time was in the summer. The store looked so much bigger in my mind at that time. This last visit has brought me back to reality since we were going from one dollar tree to the next the last few days out of boredom.
They seem fairly neat, but they were putting out merchandise, and some aisles were limited in walking space for this reason. They did need the merchandise post Christmas and New Year's shoppers. I do look forward to venturing out of my way in less busy seasons in the future.”
“With so many Dollar trees in Jacksonville. It's hard to decide if any are better than any others. However, this one is my favorite in the area and there are 3 in the area. The Snack Zone is always well stocked as well as the household section.”

“Always a nice place to shop and save money. The checkout is trying at times due to being busy. They don't seem to have enough staff to run two registers at the same. The may have a line of 15 and don't see the need for another person running a checkout. But other than the dreaded waiting to checkout and get going back to whatever else you have had planned for the day it's a nice time”
“This is now my favorite store on the westside for gas, cigs and... Other stuff... Great prices, it's clean, employees are cool. Never had any probs or issues with anything or anyone. I do wish other customers that have tried some of the d8 products would help give reviews with a little guidance as to the kinds they've tried, or which are the best. This is a must have for naturally kinky curly hair textures and for Locs... The shampoo is amazing & cleanses the hair beautifully. The conditioner is great also, really love the subtle chocolate scent & both smell really nice ? $4-5 a bottle is a great deal and for the size, You cannot beat that And IT WORKS. Hair is softer and more manageable ??
African Pride also has an oil that is good ??

7 out of 10xs I can find what I need and the selections are pretty good & Prices are affordable.
But Sometimes the smell is very off putting when walking in the store and Sometime employees are on their phones while assisting customers at check out.
However, There is one gentleman there who has been there for a good while and he is ALWAYS polite and helpful. I don't know his name, But he's a tall Black Man, wears glasses and has good customer service.

Very convenient; until you're purchasing cold medicines and or alcohol, etc & that's understandable. But sometimes the wait for assistance can be a little too long, then the checkout experience becomes aggravating ? but overall it serves it's purpose”
“I haven't been here in years. Came with one of my kids to get stuff for school Valentine's Day stuff. Apparently it's not just 1.25 per item they have $2, 5, 10 items. ?. I didn't know that. ?. But everything is clearly labeled and should not be a surprise. I was pleasantly surprised at the nice things they still got. Was the store perfect, no, but it was manageable and I got what we needed. Thanks.”
“customer service was ok, they lacked alot of itens but fir most part , very friendly, and very clean . Some prices were a little too high for certain things , Also the food such as chips and other were kind of out of date”

“These guys make me laugh because they analytically track and mock my purchases lol. Today, I was slandered with a poor attempt to slander my name in small town Clay Hill with no basis. Go sit in the bathroom for a couple minutes & then go do your job Sherlock! I do mine second shift every night too without harassing my customers. ?”

Only negative is the people loitering outside that try to sell you stuff or sign you up for stuff
I'm not sure who they are with, but one guy followed me to my car to give me his "talk" after I told him I wasn't interested. I've seen these groups loitering outside the door.”
“I absolutely love this store! This is the only location I have visited. Store is well organized. Always greeted with friendliness. Wide variety of merchandise with super low prices! I absolutely love the book section! I usually find everything i need in one stop. So convenient not having to stop several places on the way home. Also great place to go when you have time to just browse around. One of my favorite places to shop!”
“I recently shopped at the Dollar Tree and observed that the prices have increased. Items are now priced at one dollar and twenty cents, and some items that were previously one dollar and twenty-five cents may now cost up to five dollars. During my visit, I made a significant purchase for work-related items. Despite the challenges posed by some customers who can be destructive at times, the store maintained a relatively neat appearance. Unlike some other discount retailers, the store did not have items cluttering the floor. The staff was friendly and helpful, particularly the cashier, a Hispanic woman who was new to the role, Aracelia. She was patient, kind, and provided excellent customer service. I was able to find everything I needed and more, which resulted in a higher-than-expected expenditure. I have since returned to this Dollar Tree location for future purchases.”

“I'm reluctantly giving them 5 stars! ? Every associate in there knows I hate this store!?? (That's why they see me in so many repeat visits!) No matter how focused I am on getting the one thing I came to get, I ALWAYS leave there with more!! “Every time I visit this place, it's almost like I can't believe it and I gotta come back and do it quality assurance check. It's almost too good to be true, a dollar store that is neat and organized but it is! I have been consciously coming back to prove myself wrong since last fall. This place hasn't let me down yet. And the people are nice. they are busy cleaning things up, putting things up. As I watch the employees, no one is wasting time. They are quick to respond when the line gets long, and they communicate respectfully to each other. These days when we have a dollar store on every corner, Ive got lots of choices. And my choice is to go somewhere where I can find things easily and have less clutter in my head, than I already have to work with, by being offered a neat set of aisles to browse. This company should come and study and find out what makes this place special and what's missing in others. I will drive out of my way to stop here instead of some ordinary place. The less things cost, the less the quality of human experience you seem to get. But this place turns that idea on its head.”

“Friendly neighborhood shop to hunt for surprises and delights. Don't expect to find the same thing twice - that's the fun of it! And do be cautious about expiration dates and some prices. But have fun finding treasures! My two favs have been 4th of July Pop Rocks White Chocolate Hershey bars and live plants! And what a great deal on a huge can of Cream of Chicken soup. I see dumplings in my future. ?”
