Absolutely terrible experience! Came in and definitely received discriminatory behavior from one of the tellers there. Luckily the assistant manager was kind and understanding so I will give credit to that. I came in because I had an alert from my debit card issued by a sister credit union and was informed that it’s up to me to seek out first federal if they were able to issue a temporary card. Rather than fully hear what I needed, the teller abruptly and rudely informed me that I should not be getting assistance from them. There’s a way to communicate that without being straight up nasty and talking to me in a patronizing and contemptuous way! Ugh I unfortunately have to go back but I would avoid that particular teller like the plague.

I've banked here 25 years. Staff are always friendly and attentive to your needs. I would recommend First Florida to anyone looking for a credit union.

My contact with First Florida has always been minimal because I didn't think that they could provide the level of service that I needed because of their size as a credit union. However, after working with Ms. Tonya Campbell, my opinion has completely changed. Her level of professionalism and courtesy is unmatched. The way she treated me as a customer was better than I ever expected. If I could rate her at 10 stars, I certainly would. Thank you for such a pleasant customer experience!

Honestly, this was the worst company I have ever came in contact with. I highly would not recommend working here. They will fire you for no reason, the pay is not worth it for the amount of work you do, and the everyone is fake and tries to act like everything is okay but then go to hire ups and complain. Kristy is by far the worst supervisor who makes everyone uncomfortable and people quit and leave because of her and they still let her work there. It is a very passive aggressive and hostile environment. Save your time and your energy and do not work here. I would recommend banking with Navy Federal instead of First Florida.

After doing most of my primary banking with First Florida CU for the last year or so (checking, direct deposit, debit card, savings, etc.) I have decided to move my accounts to another credit union. Unfortunately I haven't had the best experience in general relating to their representatives or the use of certain checking account features. Recently I requested to open a HSA at this location and they acted like I was speaking a foreign language, recommending I go to a big corporate bank like BOA or Chase instead. I don't like the idea of banking in like, three different places... So I am going to consolidate my accounts with another local credit union that has more to offer its members.

If I could give 0 stars I would, but the 1 that I gave can be for the front desk teller who was very helpful and kind. Shout out to the manager Lena who was very rude and even talked over me while I was trying to discuss my issue with her. I’ve been a member with this bank since 2019 and I do not appreciate the way I was treated nor the manner the situation was handled. I was unemployed for a few months, but I recently was able to get a job. I came back to this bank 2 days in a row attempting to deposit my PAYROLL check with no 2 day hold so I could pay my rent. The manager was not willing to call and verify that the funds were with the bank who wrote the check nor was she able to provide ANY compassion. Do better!!!! We’re in a pandemic for Gods sake!
