“Congaree and Penn exceeded every expectation and was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday weekend with our family. We spent a couple of nights in one of the newly opened bungalows, which were beautiful, cozy, thoughtfully designed, and perfectly tucked into the landscape so you feel surrounded by nature while still having every comfort you need.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, thoughtful, and incredibly well done. One of our favorite touches in the bungalow was the farm provisions waiting for us: fresh farm eggs, sourdough bread, yogurt, milk, and orange juice. Enjoying coffee in the morning while looking out into the trees was such a special way to start the day.
Tess and her team went above and beyond to make our stay the best. You can tell so much care and intention has gone into every detail of the property. The hospitality throughout the property was exceptional, everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in creating a wonderful experience.
Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic and truly one of the highlights of our stay, incredible food in such a beautiful setting. One evening there was live music under a huge oak tree by the water with an outdoor bar and seating, which elevated the experience even more and made the night feel so special.
Our son loved exploring the farm, riding the wagon, visiting the animals, fishing by the pond, and driving around in the golf cart. I highly recommend renting a golf cart to explore the property; it makes the whole experience even more fun. The farm shop was another favorite stop for us.
Congaree and Penn is something truly special, peaceful, restorative, and incredibly memorable. If you’re considering a stay, I highly recommend booking one of the new bungalows. We’re already talking about when we can come back.”

Pam made the entire process seamless and stress-free. She provided all the contacts I needed — from the DJ to the caterers — and every recommendation was outstanding.

“The smaller event was perfect for my crowd. Owner is a jewel for my last minute requests. I asked for a Sesame Street theme and she delivered. Communication is spot on and decor was beautiful. Bounce house and mini car kept the children busy. Will definitely consider for future parties.”
“We had a baby shower here back in May of 2023. We had around 50 people and there was plenty of space for everyone to sit, tables for food and games, and plenty of space for a present table and opening gifts. We brought a standing backdrop and I brought my own to chair to sit in as well. I loved the charm and simplicity of this building and would use it again!”

“I hosted a bridal shower at TAE on Talbot in August 2025. It was a beautiful venue! Absolutely stunning atmosphere! The online pictures do not do it justice. It was the perfect place for our 35 person guest count. There was plenty of room for the food and drinks, balloon arch, and games we had planned. I especially loved the lounge seating options and rustic farm tables! There was plenty of room for everyone yet it felt warm and cozy. I was able to request my desired furniture placement plan in advance and it was just as I requested upon arrival. The staff’s communication was outstanding from the moment I inquired about the venue up until the end of the shower. TAE on Talbot exceeded my expectations in every way! I highly recommend this venue for your next event. ?”

The event coordinator katie, she was truly phenomenal! Katie was patient, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. She helped guide me through every step of the planning process and made sure everything was exactly how we envisioned it. Her support and calm energy made all the difference.
The captain and bartender were equally amazing — super helpful, friendly, and on top of everything during the event. The entire Kaluby team worked together like clockwork. Everyone had their own task, and they executed everything flawlessly.

“I have been to this location a few times before. These pictures are from 2022 elwhen there was a car show there. I believe it was for the King of The South, and Import Warz was present as well. There were a lot of awesome cars that day. I didn't stay for the entire event, as it was hot that day. This is a great location to host car shows, because there's plenty of space outside as well as inside the venue itself.”
