“Want to enjoy Key West in style? Rent a Vanderhall 3 wheel car/bike from Big Daddy’s Dream rides! Absolutely perfect size for Duval street and so retro and cool! Alex was the easiest person to deal with and EXTREMELY fair and accommodating in price and ease of renting. I will rent from Alex next December and beyond, and the Vanderhall will be the ride!UPDATEI guess he is no longer in business sadly.I have called repeatedly with no answer.”

Colten at Avis quickly helped the situation and made sure I had a great car to drive around in. I was completely hooked up! “Tip: Always take a picture of your gas gauge, keep your fuel receipt, and clearly state when you return the keys that you have proof and will dispute any extra charges.

I recently rented from Budget at the Key West Airport and was very disappointed with their billing practices. We filled the tank at the Shell station right before drop-off, yet they still charged us for refueling. We also returned the car 2 hours and 45 minutes earlier than scheduled, but the receipt they emailed showed the original planned return time. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated incident—many customers are experiencing the same issues.
When I called their customer service, I was given the runaround. Frustrated, I called back and asked to speak with someone located in the USA. Once transferred, the representative quickly took my reservation number and details. I explained that I had the credit card receipt from the gas station as proof we had refilled the vehicle. The gentleman told me, “No worries”—he refunded the $68 refueling charge from the rental location and even issued an additional $30 refund from the rental for the inconvenience.
Other than the added charges, my experience at the location and with this particular customer care representative was positive.”

“Picking up the rental car was quick & easy. The car was clean and in excellent condition. Returning the car was even easier. We had a minor issue with rhe bill, which was settled immediately. Kudos to the Hertz staff in Key West and Hertz customer service.”

“What a great place for renting. We rented a 8 person golf cart for my party of 7. They were the only place I could find one. The car was great and in great shape. The people at the place were very helpful in the rental process. Also the price was great ? highly recommend if looking for a rental.”
