Upon entering this well-laid-out, perfectly organized angler's paradise, I was greeted by Cody, who was welcoming, knowledgeable, and approachable. I inquired about getting a casting tune-up session with Nathaniel, who unfortunately was in Belize doing the 8 Weight Invitational. My loss, but I figured it was worth asking. Last week, upon returning to Key West, I was finally able to connect with Nathaniel for that casting session. It was a true masterclass in fly-casting instruction, full stop. His articulation, patience, and intuitive approach made the experience relaxing and never intimidating. You would be hard-pressed to find a better instructor—or a better person to spend time around.     The outdoor retailer plans to open a 100,000-square-foot store in College Station, Texas, in 2028. It'll sit along State Highway 6, north of William D. Fitch Parkway, next to a Costco and in front of the future South College Station baseball and softball complex. On Sept. 24, the College Station City Council approved a $10.84 million sale of 28 acres in a unanimous vote. Bass Pro gets about 14 acres for its store. Dallas-based Corinth Properties will build a mixed-use project with restaurants and an event plaza on the other 14.
