“I had an accident on the exit ramp of I-4 east bound that was a single lane/one way exit/ made it unsafe for me to stay with the vehicle, so EMTs dropped me off at a hotel very close by with my car keys. Originally, had called my insurance who sent for a towing company (won’t say the name) where the owner was very rude and did not understand that I could not meet and/or stay that the scene of the crash, and ev goodness you were sooo amazing- thanks also for hearing me vent, and event being patient with me and allowing me to get my belongings out, and even helping get them into my mom’s car! was very hostile and refused to send a driver to tow my vehicle (after informing myself and my insurance that they would).Thankfully, after that unfortunate incident (both the accident and rude original towing company); my insurance company was able to get you all’s company to help me. Edwin was the driver and I am just sooo blessed, thankful and overwhelmed with how amazing he was. I am sincerely grateful and sooo amazed by him and his work. He listened to me vent, and was very understanding of the situation: the crash site not being a safe location for me to stay, so he could obtain the keys for my car. He was patient with myself and allowed me to get my belongings out of my car, and even helped get them into my mom’s car!Just WOW! Sooo grateful. This man was truly Heaven sent. And, I am grateful for him being able to help me. And, I pray this review gets to the right person/ leadership and that you commend him on his amazing work! And, tell him to keep up the amazing work (as I know he will)! “I want to share my outstanding experience at Walmart Auto Care Center with Manager Julio and technician Irving Lopez.
My car had been having battery issues, and I happened to be driving near Walmart Auto Service, so I decided to stop by and ask if they could check whether it was the battery or something else. Unfortunately, the moment I arrived, my car completely shut off and wouldn’t start again no matter how many times I tried.
Irving came over with a warm smile and politely asked if I needed help. When he saw the issue, he brought over a power supply to try to jump the battery. He tried multiple devices and repeated the process more than four times, but the car still wouldn’t start. He then went inside to speak with the manager, Julio, who immediately came out and treated me with respect and kindness. He said, “Let’s see how we can help you.”
Although my car was about 100 feet away from the service area entrance, it was still within their area, and even though they couldn’t move it, they didn’t hesitate to assist. They basically created a small mobile workshop right where the car was parked. Night had already fallen, so they brought out lights and worked in the dark.
Irving’s work was unbelievable, he stayed positive, professional, and smiling the entire time. Not once did he show any sign of frustration; instead, he kept reassuring me, “Don’t worry, we’ll get it running.” After testing the battery, he confirmed it was completely dead. I told him I’d go inside to buy a new one, but he insisted, “Stay here, I’ll take care of everything for you.”
He replaced the battery right there on the spot, even though removing my old battery was very difficult. He finished the job quickly and perfectly, still with that same genuine smile on his face.
Honestly, I had almost forgotten that there are still people out there who help others with no expectation of anything in return. I even offered him a tip, but he refused and told me he was just doing his job.
I truly hope Walmart recognizes an employee like Irving with a special award, and I would be more than happy to support that effort. Thank you, Irving, for your incredible service, and thank you, Julio, for approving the help and leading with kindness.
