“1st time I was ever in one of these. They had Sprecher Ginger Ale from Milwaukee...a true find here! Nothing like a taste of the old stomping grounds! That gives it a 5 star in my book!”

“This store has been a flagship store in the local community for many years, well until the publics opened early this year. This store served the community very well in how it was stocked and managed. This company made a gamble within the context of the publix arrival, they drastically changed the goods they carried and technically upgraded the payment transaction stations, in short self checkout etc which came with much confusion for this unsophisticated little town. Not suggesting we are less than, but there are virtues in simplicity that many of us upheld. How many of us are looking to refresh our bathrooms and kitchen every day? With a population of just over 2,000 residents the market I suppose would be quite flat. There are every day products that are more deserving of shelf space, yet we see home goods, baskets and smily face rugs. Why? Ostentatious imagery? What for?The next notable change is the self checkout machines that many of us abhor. It brings nothing but horror by the mere thought of tapping and clicking our way to oblivion, through a transaction which most of us are still struggling to understand. This is a small town, and as with most small town it’s the personal interaction that truly counts. We like talking and dealing with people and each other as human being. Please do not rob us of these little societal perks, It is certainly important to us.Come on DGI or whatever you call yourself, you can do better than this. Also please remember the little pittance you are paying your employees is a very small price to pay to maintain the bonds of our little community. We love our people and we like a stress free life, free from those darn swipers and tappers.Get ride of those machines and put useful products back in the store. We need this, and there is enough to go around between Publix and yourself.”

“Always very smooth experience when I go here. Pretty much all of the staff are very pleasant. Some more than others, but have NEVER a bad experience any off the staff. Usually pretty well stocked and clean. Now if DG as a whole would carry SPRING water or stock more of it if they do carry it ?Not a fan fan of PURIFIED or DISTILLED. Just sayin'.Note to Cooperate HQ:I get that ATF licensing is on thin ice all the time due to the threat of under-aged sales...But C'MON... Is it necessary to ID someone EVERY single time that they patronize and are recognized by staff? Is it possible to scan/swipe the IDS and possibly have a DB that'll keep track once once someone's been age verified should an ATF issue arise?I mean I've seen customers appear 3/4 century old have to show proof age. ???Just curious”

“It's your typical Dollar General. The store and its layout will not wow you, but the people make the difference. It isn't 5 stars because its basically the Waffle House of grocery stores, but I love the staff so I will keep coming back.”

“Pretty typical Dollar General. It's a newer store so isn't run down like a couple I've been in. Good for those quickie runs we all have once in a while.”

“Like this store, affordable prices and service is nice. I like the candles they sell for a dollar. I've bought candy, pound cake ,decorations, candles, bags ,cups, and more from this store all great quality price and the gift ability of the things sold here are 610 sells essentials and more. Wait time was minimal. Carts must stay inside the store . big store but its spread out so its not a big amount of products but I like it. Prices were not on fabuloso cleaning wipes so I decided not to buy due to my small budget concerned on the price. I like the dollar tree as well. Here is a photo of the candle and coastal décor I purchased here. Store is short staffed (or appears so ) masks not required but sign says they are very confusing. They do sell clothing, panties, bras ,pants ,shirts ,shoes, and its convenient in case you spill a snack or get wet . Lots of snacks .great for a quick stop on a road trip . Thanks for your wonderful store and service. Update : went today on Thursday Feb 24 2022 . again a great experience . shoes felt like better quality than Walmart.”

“I'm giving DG 5 stars for its hard working, stressed out employees. Let ME tell you what the problem is! I'm an over the road truck driver who trained on the DG account. My oldest daughter was training to be a store manager for them but quit. Not because she didn't like the people or job but the stress! Us drivers would show up at the stores with there delivers. Sometimes half or a 3rd of the trailer per store. Everything is pushed into the back room that most often isn't big enough because each store sells so much. The employees have to take care of the customers, stock shelves, and run register at same time. There is no time to stock! My daughter got written up twice for closing store at night and working off the clock to try and get store organized. She has OCD. It's not within her to walk away from a job unfinished. Most of the, during the day time, there is one cashier, a manager, and one other person to stock shelves AND they have to back up the cashier if needed. The managers run crazy trying to help in every area. Just put yourself in their shoes. Next time you go inside and see all that stuff in those carts. Just imagine it was your job to put all that away. You have one maybe 2 days until next truck comes in.The best way to beat this problem is do like Walmart and Home Depot. Have a night crew!!! They wouldn't have to deal with customers or money! JUST STOCK!! This way every store would be fully stocked when opening first thing each day. The day time employees would only have to deal with customers and maybe, just maybe a few items that didn't get done. It's time for DG to step it up and hire more people to better serve YOU!! In the long run DG would increase there profits! It's working for Walmart and Home Depot! Look at there quarterly sale.”

“This is a regular Dollar General. Why I gave it a 4 star was the check out gentleman. I had my 2 grand daughters age 4 & 7 out for a "shopping spree". They had their own money and carefully shopped. They had to make decisions to put some things back. When we got to the counter to check out they each paid for their items. The gentleman was very patient with them and Grandmom appreciated his tolerance. My next visit we'll be back to do more shopping”

“The store has a lot of unexpected items. In addition to everyday housing staples, they have a frozen section, everyday supplies like cleaners, laundry detergent, and such. Snacks, canned food, storage containers, and toiletries to name a few. It's nice to have a mini all you need store in the neighborhood for a forgotten item or last minute grab.”

“Big Al's here are friendly and courteous and are always willing to help find something. I noticed early in the morning this store is really calm and quiet so I like to go in before there's too many people when the lines get long it's not as fun.”
