“I love how convenient Publix is but there often rotting fruits and vegetables in the produce section. I also wish Publix was more waste conscious. They even wrap squash and zucchini in plastic. The vegetable already comes in natural wrapping that needs to be washes before eating regardless.”

The man behind the counter came out and said he could make me one on the spot. In the time it took me to grab one more item, it was all done and let me tell you it was fantastic. “I was very pleased with my experience at the Lake Mary Walmart Neighborhood Market. It was well stocked, organized, clean and had everything I needed. Much easier than parking in a large parking lot and doing extensive walking at a Walmart Superstore. FL area seems to have a Publix on every block. It would be wonderful to see more of these Neighborhood Markets to provide alternatives to Publix with value priced groceries.”
“The pharmacist that was working last night (unfortunately, I did not catch her name), caught a dosage miscalculation from my pediatrician. The urgent care pediatrician had prescribed my three month old daughter double the dose of Tamiflu that she was supposed to be taking. I am very grateful that the pharmacist caught this, my primary pediatrician said my daughter could have had major issues if she was to take the double dose.”
“I'm a huge fan of Publix. While many items cost more than other stores, you also get the service that comes with the price tag. Also, they have some amazing bogos if you you look for the em on food, wine, beer, seltzers, etc. sodas sometimes are buy 2 get one. Carrot cake is a must if this is your first time, and the tendies are really good too. Seriously though, look for those bogos!”
Walmart just launched Realm, its new 3D online shopping platform. To help you visualize what that means, imagine a virtual mall packed with bright colors, wacky landscapes, and cartoon avatars wandering around. Realm lets you browse "digital doubles" of real Walmart products by navigating through several make-believe worlds. "We believe this is the future of commerce," said Justin Breton, who leads brand experiences at Walmart. "It won't replace our website or app, but will complement them."
Target's new low-cost brand Dealworthy is rolling out this month in stores and online. With items starting at under $1, it is aimed at budget-conscious shoppers. The low prices on basics like phone chargers, paper plates and underwear will likely appeal.
Walmart is growing the number of its physical stores across America. The retail giant announced plans to open 150 new U.S. stores over the next five years while remodeling 650 current locations. Popular Florida-based grocery chain Publix is venturing into uncharted territory - Kentucky. Come 2024, Publix will unveil its inaugural Bluegrass State locations, comprising six stores sprinkled between Louisville and Lexington.
