“This Publix is a smaller store which means they have more time to spend on fixing whatever problems that they have. They are consistently changing the buy one Get one cards once a week on Thursdays (I think, intentionally). There's a market strategy there somewhere, I can assure you. After going up on the creeks and rivers, I finally figured out how to stay away from most of the insects. However, other people weren't so lucky. If this gets any attention, I may carry on with it. The review that is. You boys and girls have a good night, try to stay out of the cat and dog food because there's usually better stuff close by. “Found the staff to be really nice in here. They were friendly and accommodating so early in the morning. Especially in the bakery section. Huge dessert selection for sweet treats especially for a birthday. I also really enjoyed being able to stop here for quick meals to take the beach. They had a lot to choose from. This is our go to Publix when in Longwood and we appreciate them!”
“I stopped at Bravo Supermarkets a few weeks ago after work because I needed ingredients for dinner and honestly didn’t feel like dealing with one of the huge crowded grocery chains nearby. I’d passed the store many times before but had never gone inside, and I was surprised by how different it felt from a typical supermarket. The first thing I noticed was the variety of international foods. There were sections with products I usually only find in smaller specialty stores — different seasonings, frozen foods, fresh bakery items, and a lot of Hispanic and Caribbean products. I ended up buying way more than I planned because I kept spotting things I hadn’t seen in years. Bravo markets are known for carrying local and international grocery items that reflect the surrounding community. What stood out most during my visit was the fresh food area. The produce looked good, and the meat counter actually had employees helping customers instead of everyone standing around confused waiting for service. One worker even recommended a marinated chicken option when I mentioned I was short on time for cooking. The store wasn’t perfect though. A few aisles felt narrow once it got busy, and I noticed some price tags didn’t exactly match the shelf placement, so I double-checked a couple things before checkout. Still, the cashier was friendly and moved the line quickly, which made the experience less stressful. Overall, Bravo Supermarkets felt more personal and community-focused than larger grocery stores. It’s the kind of place where you can quickly grab essentials but also discover products you didn’t expect to find.”
Walmart just launched Realm, its new 3D online shopping platform. To help you visualize what that means, imagine a virtual mall packed with bright colors, wacky landscapes, and cartoon avatars wandering around. Realm lets you browse "digital doubles" of real Walmart products by navigating through several make-believe worlds. "We believe this is the future of commerce," said Justin Breton, who leads brand experiences at Walmart. "It won't replace our website or app, but will complement them."
Target's new low-cost brand Dealworthy is rolling out this month in stores and online. With items starting at under $1, it is aimed at budget-conscious shoppers. The low prices on basics like phone chargers, paper plates and underwear will likely appeal.
Walmart is growing the number of its physical stores across America. The retail giant announced plans to open 150 new U.S. stores over the next five years while remodeling 650 current locations. Popular Florida-based grocery chain Publix is venturing into uncharted territory - Kentucky. Come 2024, Publix will unveil its inaugural Bluegrass State locations, comprising six stores sprinkled between Louisville and Lexington.
