“Today was our first visit to New Hope for a yearly and to address some allergy issues. Brutus is not animal friendly but is cool with people, his continuous bark at everything makes him a very intimidating 70lbs pit pup!! The entire office staff was friendly and accommodating. Dr Simoneaux was very pleasant, he listened to my concerns and came up with a plan to tackle Brutus’s allergies. So far my experience has been great thus the 5 ?”

“Dr. Winter and his entire staff are AWESOME!!!! If I could give a ten star rating I would. Today I stopped by their office to see if they were open yet due to Hurricane Milton. My 14 year old Labrador Cahill was overdue for a monthly injection that he receives. Even though they weren't open and the staff were in the the middle of cleaning up from the hurricane damage, they administered Cahill's much needed medication. I am so thankful to all of them.

“Took my dog to dog wood clinic a number of things had to be done and the vet was very professional very good with my dog. The staff was welcoming and friendly and I think my poor baby left there. Happier and I will go back again.”

“I wouldn’t have my little Lilly if it wasn’t for Dr Shaw and his amazing staff! Monday started off with a very sick little Kitty. We took her to our local vet and they couldn’t see her. I tried everything as I had a feeling she wasn’t going to make it if she didn’t get help soon. I tried calling every vet office around and no one could see her until I called Choice Veterinary Clinic in Punta Gorda. This was a half hour drive but her only chance. So glad we did. Dr Shaw was guarded but realized when he saw her she wouldn’t survive if we didn’t do something immediately. I left my tiny little fur baby there in his hands and he promised to call with an update after getting labs and fluids started. We got a call with news that her WBC were extremely high and they were giving 2 antibiotics along with the fluids. The prognosis was still guarded but the staff was amazing at keeping us updated and Dr Shaw called himself to go over a plan of care and our choices. We agreed it best to remain there to keep getting fluids, antibiotics, and some nutritional support. They called after closing and gave me positive but guarded news and called first thing this morning. They were planning on repeating her labs later and decide if she was strong enough to come home. She was starting to act more responsive and alert. This afternoon I got the best call. She was eating some and her lab work was in normal range and we could pick her up at closing Today, just about 30 hours later! We got greeted by a very happy staff! They took such great care and made sure we had all we needed and explained her continued cares needed at home. Tonight she ate for us and took her nutritional supplement. Rolled on the floor and purred like her normal self. She had a lot of lap time too. We just want to Thank Dr Shaw and his caring staff for saving our little girl and her sister was glad to see her back home too!”

“Giving a 4 star for now only because we have just been there once with our 2 cats, but I was very happy with the experience. This has been the only vet so far we have found that doesn't seem to resort to drugs as a first step nor did they rudely push vaccines if pet owners do not want certain ones for their pets. For example, one of our cats either has cat acne or an allergy of some sort under his chin and medicated pads were given (and after researching the product had great reviews and also has no bad chemicals)... many vets would have given an antibiotic. They are also very caring, case in point, one of our cats is terrified to go the vet and piddled in her crate and the staff actually cleaned her, the crate and gave us a clean towel for the crate and car ride home... that is above and beyond customer service and speaks volumes.”

We cannot rave enough about Dr. Cole Goracke, the vet techs (special shoutout to Courtney and Taryn), and the entire office staff for their incredible care of our fur child, Wesson. Over the past few weeks, they’ve gone above and beyond to help heal his injured tail, always showing compassion and professionalism. Moving to Port Charlotte last year, we were unsure if we would find a vet we loved as much as our previous one in PA, but Collingswood Animal Hospital has far exceeded our expectations. “Our dog, Lottie needed an emergency hysterectomy. After calling our usual vets once we got the money together (moving things around so we can save our dog) our vet informed us “should have came in before noon”, we then had to wait for the emergency vet to open at five. They took Lottie in right away… the staff was so kind and caring. Took her into surgery right away. Called us once surgery was done, informing us they need to keep her over night. We spent $700 on antibiotics with our usual vets, they told us to bring them in so they could use them on her, instead of charging us extra for antibiotics. Once we brought them in, they said Lottie is doing good and we could take her home…
Lottie is doing amazing!!! I cannot thank this place enough for saving our family (Lottie) and being so kind and caring…. You can tell they truly care about what they do. I am glad we used them instead of our usual vets. We will not be taking our dogs back to our usual vets… wish we could take them here, but they’re just for emergencies.
