Goodwill Industries of South Florida is a well-known nonprofit organization that creates jobs for people with disabilities through community programs and job training. With over 2,600 employees, it is one of the largest employers in Miami-Dade County. The stores are clean, organized, and easy to browse, with merchandise sorted by model and size, making shopping convenient. Customers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, who often seem happy and eager to assist. The stores offer a good selection of items, including clothing, housewares, and home decor, with some locations featuring larger collections, such as extensive home decor sections. Parking is usually ample, especially when located in shopping centers like Lauderhill Mall. Shoppers enjoy browsing for unique finds, seasonal items like Halloween costumes, and affordable books in good condition. However, some customers feel that prices have become quite high for used items, sometimes nearing the cost of new products, which they find unfair given that many items are donated. Despite this, prices remain generally lower than retail, and the store continues to be a popular choice for thrift shopping and holiday costumes. Overall, Goodwill in South Florida is appreciated for its organization, friendly environment, and the opportunity it provides to support community employment and rehabilitation efforts.
