I first dealt with First Colony Bank last year to help an elderly relative with her account. I knew nothing about the bank. But since last year, I have a growing respect of the way the bank operates. Unlike so many banks I've encountered (which I have been watching & following), I'm impressed with the CD renewal rates and how they seem to keep the customer in mind to preserve longevity of an account. From what I can tell, they value stability more than bigger name banks I've been dealing with.
The staff at First Colony is small. It's easy for customers to get to know the staff. They, in turn, do a good job remembering their customers & their individual situations. I like that a lot. Unlike bigger banks with lots of employee turnover, I find First Colony staffing to be much more stable and predictable.
Last thing, the banker Daniel, in particular does an outstanding job being on the front lines dealing with difficult situations. He is enormously patient and tries hard to work with every customer and their situations. I appreciate Daniel a lot.

Everyone at first colony bank goes out of their way to make you feel appreciated and special. Even during some financial hard times, they worked with me on my car loan. I highly recommend them!
