Mill City Press published my first book. I would not work with them again. They made errors in my ebook. Then they failed to correct them for years. When they said they corrected them, they wouldn't do it unless I paid them for years of renewals before they ever delivered the work I had paid thousands of dollars for. They claimed I would keep all rights, but failed to hand over the files I paid to have them produce. Their direct order website is extremely slow. They charge so many fees that they can keep 100% of the royalties, suffocating the very authors that constitute their lifeline. They don't share access to my book's Amazon account. And they can't compete with the prices of overseas competitors.

I am working on a 2nd book, and MILL CITY PRESS did a good job on my first one, so I will probably hire them again.

The author copies I got were good quality, but I ordered offset printing, and the interior print was too light. Mill City wanted to charge me a huge annual fee to keep the book in print, and I consider that predatory. I won't publish with them again.
