I went in to get a sandwich on a Wednesday afternoon. The place had five customers in it. So I’m standing there waiting at the register while seven employees conversed and didn’t even acknowledge me. Finally, I said is anybody working here and one of the ones sitting there having a conversation, literally strolls over to me as if he didn’t have a care in the world
There were many seats, dirty with crumbs. All the wood directly under the seats were incredibly dusty.

I've never been on the inside but the parking lot is nice and it's in a good area.

I placed an online order today for delivery, not knowing you use third party delivery services. I had selected to have my order delivered between 12:50 and 1:00pm. My order was delayed until 1:26 because of DoorDash. Just so you are aware, even though I know you don't care about 1 person not coming back. But I will never order from Panera Bread again because you use third party delivery services that clearly don't care about your customers.
If i had known you use third party delivery services I would have never placed an order to begin with, as I have had nothing but issues when using DoorDash. Just know these third party delivery services are still a reflection of your company, especially when you do not state that a third party is delivering your orders. I was here thinking the whole time it was a Panera Bread employee delivering my order. It's cheaper anyway to hire an employee to deliver your items, instead of giving door dash a percentage of what you make to use their lazy ass drivers.
The Assistant Manager at the Orange ave location in Winter Park, Fl did wonders in trying to rectify the situation, but unfortunately I will never come back to Panera Bread. Do better!

I used to love Panera, when I was in ny and now Florida but lately the service has been terrible, I used to look forward to oct to get the breast cancer bagels but since the last few years they don’t make enough of them and should be able to go anytime of the day and get them, now they don’t make them only once a day and I went to the one on university blvd in Oviedo and the girls look at you like u are an alien. I used also get dinner or lunch and they don’t prepare properly.

Panera's in Central FL area are now refusing to substitute the Steak and White cheddar sandwich to French baguette bread and I was told the reasoning is because they now serve toasted french baguette sandwiches and need the bread for those. Called national corporate offices for Panera and was told I can substitute the bread on any sandwich for French Baguette at any time and they will be contacting the local district manager about this issue. Hey Central FL Panera, why don't you just make a few more loaves of French baguette since you give that out with every salad and soup anyway, and how many people are really going to come in on a daily basis and substitute a sandwich to French baguette? Instead of such a ridiculous new policy that limits customers of choices we have always had before you should be catering to your customers as the national corporate office expects you to. I left without ordering due to this new policy and gave Jason's Deli my business because let's face it Panera, you no longer serve my needs as a customer so why in the world would I spend my hard earned money at your establishment?

Just so everyone on this thread knows that this Panera Bread Central Florida Office is for the franchise owners that have a few Paneras throughout Central Florida (so NOT corporate ran), so hence the bad service and no response from anyone at this location. They don't care! I had an terrible experience at the location on 8120 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (RT 192) 2 days ago. Reached out to this location to see if they could assist in crediting my account since the cashier in the drive-thru forgot to give me my debit card back and the next day when I went to pick up my card, there were 2 charges on account. One that I made for $16.08 (correct charge) and another for $32.10 (fraudulent charge), when I tried explaining it to the store manager (Melissa), she said she could not find the charge in her system even though I showed her my BOA acct on my phone that showed the charge and she validated that it was from her store and still did nothing. When I reached out to this location the receptionist took my information amd said either Ciara(District Manager) or Jennifer (customer service) would be getting back in touch with me. As you could imagine no call. So at this point I'm going to reach out to my bank and see what they can do because dealing with anyone from this company in any one of these stores in Central Florida is POINTLESS!!! They are all owned by the same franchise owners who could care less..... Don't waste your time or breathe because they DON'T CARE!

Absolutely Horrible (Fashion Square Mall location) recieved a gift card...went to this location, and everything I ordered I wouldn't serve to a Dog...for $18 I was given half a sandwich (unedible) a small Caesar salad (wilted with stale croutons) and a bowl of Luke warm broccoli soup. Shame on you for serving that kind of food. Never again...threw my 3 Panera Gift cards away.

I went to the Apopka location Panera bread with my elderly mother , she couldn’t even come out the car with out being hit by the oak tree branches, I don’t know who maintains this property but it’s awful, you can see in the photos how terrible it looks I can’t even see the sign because the trees are covering everything.Panera bread should care a little bit more about this specific property.

I don't think they read their reviews. So I assume the breakdown is corporate. Why should a store respond to the reviews when the corporate doesn't respond. Time to get the CEO's out to check on their stores. Poorly run by corporate.

The Winter Springs location has the most disgusting bathroom I've ever seen in a Panera. It's as though they never clean it. They have had to replace so many orders for me because they get my order wrong 99% of the time. They even forget ingredients that are standard recipe. They seem to have trouble concentrating and reading instructions. I've always been able to overlook all of that because the food is still more natural than other fast food places and the employees have always been sweet and kind. That all changed a few days ago when my mother and sister attempted to buy lunch. My mother has a heart condition with strict orders from her doctor to never wear a mask, or she could die from the lack of oxygen. She's also a senior citizen. My sister is pregnant, also with orders to never wear a mask or her baby could die. This was explained to the employee who kept forcing a mask on them, but he refused to listen. Apparently, he thought he was more educated than a cardiologist and an OBGYN.
My mother eventually gave in to appease the employee and order lunch. At this time, my sister sat down, far away from the cashier. Keep in mind, everyone in the dining room that is sitting at a table is not wearing a mask. But this employee decided to single my sister out and told my mother that he would not take her order until my sister put on a mask as well. Obviously, she is not going to risk losing her baby for a sandwich, so they left. Two acts of discrimination in one order is a lot in terms of legal ramifications.
In an attempt to give them another chance and with the hopes that this one bad employee was an isolated incident, I called and spoke with the store manager, Nicole. She literally could not have cared less. She offered no compassion and no apologies. She had no people skills whatsoever. I am actually taken aback that they hired this person to be store manager when she clearly hates her job and is terrible at it. She lied to me and claimed my mother never put on the mask, when we all saw her do so. She kept insisting we do curbside or online ordering instead. When I asked her how she could discriminate against people with health conditions that prohibit the wearing of a mask, she claimed they do not discriminate against anyone. I urged her to look up the definition of discriminate, because that is exactly what they did. They refused service on the basis of medical exemption even though the county mandate allows for medical exemptions. It is in writing.
They disrespected me and my family so much that we will never return to this or any Panera location again. They have lost our business for life. They have lost the business of everyone we talk to as well. We will always recommend that everyone eat somewhere else. Everyone in our large circle of family and friends feels the same way, if a business discriminates or disrespects you for any reason, they do not deserve a single cent from you.
There's a reason why the ratings are so low for this location. The store manager, Nicole, and the staff simply do not care about their job. This is a great location and has the potential to do great business if only they would hire quality people. It's a shame when McDonald's has better customer service.
