“I spent my 40th birthday at Isla Bella! Absolutely breathtaking views! The grounds were well kept and lush with canopies of Palm's. We were staying closer to pool 5, yes there are five fabulous pools(one adults only) at this resort making it easy to feel like you can get some privacy somewhere on the grounds. Our room was on the second floor...beautiful spacious 2 queen beds...the balcony was large with comfy patio furniture....we over looked the pool....my birthday morning view was to die for! The bell man was so helpful with getting us into our room and situated. Champagne is served at check-in. There's a cute restaurant on the resort. There are servers that go from pool to pool to accommodate with snacks and drinks. It was just perfect! My only complaint was checking out and not being able to get a later check out(was only asking for 1 hour) because it was my bday vacation; I have never had any hotel say no to a 1 hour late check out but it's all good. Overall....I will absolutely be returning and I highly recommend ?Rooms: Huge bathrooms! Excellent space and very clean!!!!”

“The Hammocks at Marathon is a great place to stay for a family of four. We stayed in a two bedroom with my husband’s parents and it had a decent sized kitchen and living room; maybe not big enough to cook meals and dine in, but good for making your coffee and teas, and snacking on leftovers. Although it was two bedrooms, only one of the bedrooms had a king sized bed—the other had two twin sized beds that you could push together if you wanted to sleep next to your significant other; it’s really a bedroom made more for two kids. The hotel itself was very clean, as were the grounds. It’s well manicured and maintained and sits right on the water. Our room didn’t have much of a view as we looked out to a parking lot and the other bedroom had a room with a window facing the indoor hallway which was kind of odd. The rooms do not include a washer and dryer, but there is a shared laundry room with one washer and dryer—just don’t wait until Thursday to do your laundry because it’s occupied most of the day since many people stay for 5 nights or a week and tend to check out on Friday. There is a pool and a hot tub, not very big but still clean—and there is a dock behind the hotel with hammocks, a restaurant, and boats that you can book excursions & tours with. The staff were very friendly and helpful—they offered us extra towels for our boat trip and even let us borrow a cooler for our drinks. We particularly enjoyed the coffee machine in the lobby which makes cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, tea, hot chocolate, and regular coffee. Overall, this is a great location—especially if you are looking to bounce around and explore the different keys; it’s just an hour from key largo and an hour from key west—with plenty of great restaurants and things to do in the surrounding area.”

“Perfect location. You can see seven mile bridge from your front door. The only thing I think they need is the chairs in front again. Forgot the lady's name that lives there to service guests, but she was very responsive to our needs”

“This place is what the keys are all about. Stayed in room suite 14. Less than 75 feet from the water. The website does it no justice. Way more than a 2 star resort.We will be back next year. Thank you to the wonderful staff.”

“A dry place to keep your trailered boat or trailer. Gated. 24/7 watch, motion detectors, cameras, plus 4 sets of residents that are active day and throughout the night hours reporting anything suspicious. Add that the Keys have only one road going out and Marathon is overloaded with Sheriff deputies that descend in droves because only an idiot does something stupid here, makes for some pretty good security.”

“The room is spacious and offers nice amenities. We appreciate the cleanliness and quiet. A suggestion is to broaden breakfast options to include bacon, cut up fresh fruit, and white bread on a daily basis. The staff is wonderful and tries to ensure a pleasant stay. The AGM, John, is especially helpful and engaging. I misplaced my purse during my stay and he went above and beyond to look for it.”

“Family owned by a very delightful family. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The place is quaint and kept up very well. We highly recommend the Blackfin Resort Motel & Marina.. Stayed there while on a fishing trip and will be back to stay again!”

“Stayed for my birthday in January, it is a very quaint little place with a staff that is ever so nice and down to earth. We even stayed an extra day because we felt welcomed. The staff was ungodly polite, even the cleaning ladies were so sweet and nice to have a short chat with. We have 2 small dogs and they were very comfortable there. It's located near everything you could want.Nearby activities: There are plenty of parks, beaches, bar and grills, a pool, and stores galore!Walkability: Your within 5-30min walk from any possible restaurant or store or bar and grill or even just to see the water”

“I enjoyed it. It's not new or luxury, but it was very unique with lots of character. The only downside was the smell of cleaning solution was kinda strong.They're all individual cabins, so maybe the experience is different depending on what one you stay in. But mine was great. The Ac worked and I couldn't hear anything outside over the fan. The wifi worked in the room. It was clean and I didn't see any trace of bugs. The bathroom was indoors and the shower was hot.If you want a unique experience, this was a gem and I would definitely stay here again.”

“Got to say this was one heck of a motel/resort. Got a room for over night and it was so peaceful and clean. The permanent residents are so friendly and very helpful to tell you the best things to do. Highly recommend. The only thing that was so so was the continental breakfast.”
