“It's sad that bookstores are becoming more scarce. Some of my fondest memories were reading books at Waldens on the beach or in the mall. Most of the magazines and puzzle books are gone in this new store. The new store is smaller and ideal for BAM in business sense. I'd rather have a smaller store and inventory than no store at all. The main gripe I have is the lack of heavily discounted books and graphic novels. At this point, I'm just glad our area has a bookstore at all.”
“This was such a fun new addition to downtown CB! Great selection of used books in excellent condition, mystery wrapped books sorted by genre, fun and free hang out space with arcade, video, and board games, and a really well organized and broad selection of VR games. Owner was so helpful with everything, from answering questions to setting up and switching VR games. We could have spent all afternoon here and will definitely be back!”
“I stopped in this store while waiting to meet a friend for lunch. I’m so glad I did. This store is adorable and prices are amazing. They take donations and have a good stock! They also put out a bowl of water for dogs walking by. That makes my vet tech heart happy. I will be back and will donate books when I can ! Go visit this gem !”
“Wonderful experience! Great customer service offering an extensive selection of Black authors & artists. Children's selection, paintings, jewelry and calendars too! Community based and owned by retired military family. Check this place out, it's worth the drive!”
“Overall, there are a lot of novelty items and a decent selection of books and magazines. Unfortunately, after visiting this location four times, I haven’t purchased a single book because I’ve noticed the same titles are considerably cheaper on Amazon.”
“Visited for the first time today. I neglected to get the owners name but he was very kind to give me some information on the different stones. Very nice selection and great prices. We will be back.”
