“Adult Non-Swimmers: Get Yourself to Aquachild!I'm 42 years old and never learned to swim as a kid, so have been (stressfully) avoiding water situations for decades. Deciding to sign-up for lessons at Aquachild has truly been a life-changing experience for me.From my very first lesson, my coach Dee (and Scotty) have been unwaveringly encouraging and patient with me. I've gone from being afraid to put my face underwater to jumping straight into the 9' deep end. I even signed-up at LA Fitness so I can swim pool lengths every morning to practice my strokes, and am proud to say that I have a solid grasp on the breaststroke, backstroke and front crawl. Dee has made sure that I've learned these strokes with good technique, which I really appreciate.I still have progress to make; bobbing in the deep end makes me nervous but Dee has been very patient as we've worked on this skill. I've gone from literally crying and clinging to the side of the pool to *requesting* that we work on deep-end buoyancy during my lessons--that's how much I trust Dee!As an adult learner, during your private lessons you will usually be surrounded by young, tiny swimmers and their parents--which at first might make you feel self-conscious--but the coaches are supportive, attentive and you're so busy in your 30-minute class that you won't even notice anyone else. Also, the pool is heated and always wonderfully warm!I'm truly amazed at the confidence and ease in the water that I've developed over the last eight months. “Kiddie College has been a blessing to us, specially my 3 year old. When my daughter was 19 months old, I enrolled her elsewhere and things didn't work out as I anticipated so I was nervous enrolling her at Kiddie College as I would have been anywhere else. I explained to Mr. Ruben and Mrs. Lucia what had happened to us at the other learning center and voiced my concerns and asked multiple questions upon visiting the center. Unlike all the other centers I visited, Mr. Ruben and Mrs. Lucia were very understanding, answered all my questions, and did not make me feel bad about my reservations in enrolling my daughter there. I was nervous but I have no regrets as Kiddie College owners and staff have welcomed our family with opened arms and amazing attitude. My daughter loves going to school and loves her teachers. She loves, loves, loves Mr. Ruben and Mrs. Carmen. I brings me a lot relief and peace of mind to know she is happy to go and to be there... and she often tells us that she is not ready to go home when we pick her up. “Village Montessori has become a real place of growth for our son. He's been attending the Shenandoah campus for over 2 years, and the whole experience has been truly amazing. His teacher Ms Sujata is attentive and caring, she is brilliant at observing the child and providing just the right stimulation and support. She has given us plenty of great tips on how to support our son through various challenges. She is a professional you can trust every step of the way. My son is quite sensitive, so it was precious to have peace of mind and know that he feels safe at school.
