Not a reputable establishment. They offer low prices sure. However they require amounts of up to $192 to reserve a vehicle. But the worse part is if your flight is delayed and you are late, when you call them they say "we can't guarantee we will have a vehicle for you". So I said why should I go if theres no guarantee? Phones disconnect when its convenient for them. Then they charge you as a no show. Horrible people. Expedia needs to remove these people from their options. They are making victims of everyone who trust that they deal with reputable businesses. So much regret.

This company is a complete scam. They have other names including NextCar and Routers. All of them are advertised with super low prices, but once you sign up and show up to pick up the car, they start charging you for all kinds of BS. All kinds of fees, their own insurance which they say is mandatory, toll passes, highway passes, early return charges, literally doesn't stop. They wanted $150 extra if you return it outside of normal business hours. Their "office" is a cage on the side of the road in some dump. Avoid at all costs. The company and the people that work here are a disgrace.

SHOULD BE NAMED BAIT AND SWITCH INSTEAD OF ONE SWITCH! The actual name they go by in Miami is MEX. DO NOT GET A CAR HERE!!! Serious FRAUD and PRICE-GOUGING! We were totally ripped off by this company. The car we originally ordered AND ALREADY PAID FOR was a Hyundai Elantra. When we got there, we were told that they gave our car to someone else before us (even though it was already pre-paid for a 6 day rental !!), and of course the ONLY other car left on the lot was a Toyota 4Runner SUV, which they charged me $440 for, $267 MORE than what the Elantra was. There is fine print in their terms that state that if you are a couple of hours late getting there for the pickup, they don't have to hold the car for you anymore, even though it was paid for in full for six days!! When we booked the car from Expedia we didn't even notice that the arrival time was off by 3 hours. They bank on this so that they can rip you off later. They tacked on an additional $170 in bogus fees to the $270 upgraded price of the SUV, totaling $440. My wife and I were stranded there with our luggage at this point. Their office is out in some unsafe neighborhood 20 minutes away from the airport and there's nothing else there, so once they shuttle you there, there's nowhere else to go to rent a car, you're stranded and you have no choice but to take their offer. They also gave me a big runaround trying to sell me their insurance for way more than I could have gotten it through Expedia. When I declined it they made me call my insurance agent back in NJ to get him to email me a copy of my insurance declaration page to give to them. The people there who couldn't reach their home agent were forced to buy the insurance from them, or they wouldn't rent them the car. This whole process wasted at least an hour in their office. They put a $500 hold on my credit card as well. We're beginning to think that they really still had the Elantra but just wanted to scam us into paying more money by saying they didn't have it anymore. It wasn't just us, everyone who went through that office came out complaining of a ripoff. Stay away! Go to the dealers in the airport instead.

Seemed to good to be true...$16.96 per day car rental. It's a bit of a challenge to make it to the actual location and it is not in the airport. You arrive and once you locate your bearings you take the train to the car rental area, exit and board a shuttle. It's Florida so it may very likely be raining... You make it inside the office and make sure that you have the face sheet of you insurance policy handy. The deal is $16.96 per day on a compact car with unlimited miles. Make sure to record and take pictures of every knick, smudge, scratch or pre-existing damage on the car...this includes the inside. It seems that normal wear and Hazzard damage don't apply at this place. The rep will scare a great deal of fear in you as he/she walks the car taking pictures of every ding or chip on the vehicle. You need to make sure that you look at the vehicle too because they are very firm that once it leaves the lot...whatever was not noted will be charged to you. Total disregard to items you have no control over. From that point you drive the car like a fragile egg-looking for a place to buy bubble wrap to cover the whole car. The worst part is that on the return they simply look at the mileage and set you on your way. No one looked at the car for dents or scratches. I couldn't even sleep praying that people would stay far away from the car and that no one would scratch it or cause damage to it. But wait...theres more! The fees are ridiculous tax, facility charge, privilege fee, recovery fee (from what or where?) License fee and location fee. Heck they should of thrown in gratuity fees! $75.81 in fees!!! Oh and the tolls thing....$56.91 extra regardless of how many tolls you actually cross....ridiculous. Still waiting for my $500.00 deposit btw.... What was an affordable car rental at $16.96 a day turned out to be a handful of days driving on egg shells and thinking if I should of wrapped the car up in bubble wrap to avoid it being scratched, nicked or dented. I'm sorry but don't recomend it nor will I be returning here. I uch rather pay the $2-300 dollars at Enterprise car rental and not have to over worry about crap that I don't even worry about in my own vehicle...like the weather or debris on the highway.

Hands down one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I got ripped off by dishonest customer service people and got a crappy car to boot. They will pull a ton of tricks to rip you off - Be Warned! They claimed not to accept our insurance or credit card and then proceeded to charge us an insane amount of money so we could leave. What started as a $250 rental ended up being $700. Yes you read that right - Nearly three times as much. At 2:00 am I was in no mood to fight them. They are beyond rude and I will never do business with them again.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. Disgusting customer service. We left our three cars here for one week and to our surprise upon arriving they COULDNT open the safe for our keys. Not only did we wait over an hour to get our keys but they also tried to charge us a late fee and the girl in the front desk was beyond rude about the whole situation. They also drove two of our cars Im assuming all week because they emptied our gas tanks. DISGUSTING *spits on ground*

Bait n switch; Was not located at the airport as listed on expedia. Its about 15 min away in a terrible unsafe neighborhood. They refused to let me use my AMEX as they don't take it so I used my black aeroplan - they told me I had to buy extra insurance and when I explained my cc had it they said it wasn't enough. They charged my card an additional $500 for no reason as a deposit but it was run as regular onto of the fee I already paid expedia. They also made me pay for surcharges on tolls an additional fee along with the tolls. I had no where to go, I was too far away from the airport when I tired to cancel the entire reservation. They do this on purpose to force you into paying double - please check their yelp reviews

Would not accept my insurance and added $140 to my bill. Upon returning the car the bald front tire was showing low air, I have to pay for a new tire. I was then charged for a scratch that they said was not there. I picked up the car on a rainy dark night. The 3 customers before me were also charged for additional insurance. I would not recommend them to anybody. They also forced me to fill out a formal and charged $1000 for damages or they would not take me back to the airport. Don't use them it's a scam!

Disgusting experience, was in Miami for training and book my rental thru Expedia. On pickup, Didn't realize they would put a $500 hold on my cc and they charge for everything. From additional insurance, additional driver & etc. FYI, Other rental companies accepted the Expedia insurance & only placed a $125 hold! Vehicle was disgusting, there was stains everywhere. Not to mention the odor. There was also exterior damage. This company operates under several different names at the same location. Our rental was under Mex Rent A Car. Make sure you take your own photos of the interior & exterior, including mileage & gas gauge. If you need a cheap rental, this is the place. But you better have $500 available on your cc and additional $$ for additional insurance

They lure you with a super low fee but buyer beware. They at first charged a $500 deposit, which is not anything I've had to do renting a car before. Then, unfortunately, my spouse got a scratch on the car and let them know our credit card was the primary insurance. Because he did not yet have a claim number with E-claims when he returned the car, they made him pay a $1000 deposit, which they did not refund even though we ultimately gave them a claim number. It took a few days to a week or so to refund the initial $500, which should have been refunded immediately at the time the car was returned. And although it's been two months since the incident, we have not yet had the $1000 refunded. It takes time for E-claims to process a claim (giving them one-star as well) so I think it's pretty lousy 1 First Car is still hanging onto the $1000. We won't see it until E-claims pays 1 First Car. This sucks because If I can't pay the $1000, I pay fees of 18% interest. Lesson learned the hard way. Rent a car from this company at your peril.

Bait n switch!!! They will charge you for everything. SunPass $10/day or $15 for unlimited. They also lie and say Sun pass charges you $25 every time you go through the pass without having it activated. You don't have to activate a SunPass. It says unlimited miles, but it's not if you're a Florida resident. Florida residents only get 50 miles per day. They tried to charge my credit card $1,000 for a security deposit. Scam Scam Scam

I made a car reservation for a rental car a good 3 weeks before our trip. We flew into Miami's Airport and needed a car to drive down to Key West. Well, our plane ended up being delayed in Atlanta which made us late for our reservation. When we finally arrived, retrieved our bags from baggage claim, and caught an Uber to the rental car facility, I was told that they didn't have the type of car I reserved anymore because we were late picking it up (out of our control) and I had to pay for the next size car up that they had. (Typically when I rent with Enterprise or Hertz, they honor your quoted price and you don't pay for an upgrade if they don't have the car you reserved) My original price was 94.99..... when it was all said and done, my price for the rental doubled. Also, I have full coverage on my car with rental cars covered..... and the credit card I use also covers rental cars. After going back and forth with the desk attendant who clearly couldn't read an insurance Declarations Page to save his life, we got a 2020 camery. This place also charges $1000 deposit for its subpar cars. Save yourself the headache and just rent with Enterprise.

This is the worst place I've rented a car in 30 years...every other customer in there when I was was also complaining and unsatisfied...mainly they Rip people off with the insurance...I had my own geico insurance and the credit card covered the rest...they still force you to pay $25 a day on their insurance plus more taxes and fees....its probably illegal what they are doing Do not use them
