I rented a car in Miami 9/12 - 9/19, no problems, nice Camry, good customer service. However, someone rented a car that using my credit card number. My statement shows a transaction date of 9/29 and AVIS will not help me at all. Their customer service won't give me any information and they say it's between me and my bank. What a scam, how did someone get my cc number? Did AVIS give it to the fraud. I initially wrote a good review of renting the car, but AVIS will not even talk to me about the fraudulent rental! This is not over!

They do not have good security or do they care about passengers and their safety / belongings. Needs new management ASAP ! Would be great if police would do their job , instead of chatting by the stairs ... Its a big mess ! No law or order ! Homeless people taking showers outside of the car rental place ! Scavengers are looking for bags !!! Someone !!! DO SOMETHING !

Sixt car Rental Company in MIA airport.... I had the worst car rental experience ever at Miami airport. I booked a last-minute car online with Sixt and paid in advance via Hotwire. I received a confirmation email with my reservation number and details. However, when I arrived at the airport, I had to wait due to lack of agents at the counter, the staff was rude and unhelpful. They told me that they did not have the car I reserved and tried to upsell me a more expensive car. After rejecting the agent several times he then magical for the full size car I reserved. He also try to force all the extra amenities such as sun pass, GPS, ETC or I could not get the car. After telling him I not purchasing anything outside of what I've already prepaid for he then decide to process on issuing me a vehicle with an attitude. He did not care about my needs or preferences, just wanted to rip me off. I wasted so much time because of his incompetence and dishonesty. This was the most unprofessional, and unethical experience I've ever encountered. Sixt rental car should be ashamed of themselves and their business practices they are teach the agent.

Renting a car in Miami International Airport is a horrid experience. As i detailed in a review with the MIA mover that connects you from Miami International Airport to the MIA Airport Rental Center, it is a long journey from the airport to the rental car center. Writing this review, I actually looked up the distance: 1.6 miles. Who thought it was a great idea to have a rental car location for a major airport be built 1.6 miles away?!?!?Even getting to the MIA mover its a journey, requiring a lot of walking that would be easier if their moving walkways were all working, which they were not. Then after the ride on the mover, more walking and stairs. My mother who was on the flight with me, could not make this journey. She requires wheelchair assistance to get from one part of the airport to another. I had to leave her back at the airport with our bags to get the car... requiring me to drive back to the airport to pick this all up.The rental center has a large amount of different car rental places to choose from, but considering all the reviews it doesn't matter who you pick, your going to be taken advantage of. This whole experience/center is meant to rip you off.I went with National, my mother had an account with them and we booked a car through them. Unfortunately, because she wasn't here, I had to create my own account and rebook under me. So in other words, we couldnt get another vehicle to her account and get closer to a free rental because she was not here. Well why isn't your location easier to reach for people with mobility issues?!?!?Getting out of this place is a nightmare, or getting back in and dropping the car when we are done. Nothing is clearly marked, its a labyrinth in here.Oh did I mention that I got a smaller car than what I paid for? Oh yeah and the attendant just shrugged her shoulders when I complained.Awful experience. Do not rent from here!

I could summarize this entire review in two words: HOT MESS. I am a person who always opts to walk, but the inconvenient location of this rental car center made that walk feel like I was completing a half marathon. Holy... I didn't see any other way to get there either because the signage and directions are terrible; I went in and out so any doors before asking someone who led me to another person who led me to the right path. I just don't understand how, after however many years this has been the case, this still continues to persist.As for the rental car center, it's pretty dirty, but thankfully, I just went straight to National and got out. But the process getting there... man.

Currently, Florida airlines and car rentals are struggling. The Bus 150 Miami Beach Airport Express is my best pro tip for a cheap, yet safe option. From Airport Station to Miami Beach (at Washington Avenue and South Pointe Drive) in 40 minutes and $2.25. Metrobus 150 Eastbound weekday schedule is every 20 minutes starting 6am to 1140 pm.Safer than wandering around Overtown at night.Save your budget for cocktails on South Beach.

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! Rented a car from Budget for work on a Monday. The car was clean inside and up to standards. However returning it was a different story. The night before I filled the gas tank back up (note I was about 6 minutes away from the drop off location/airport). I made sure to take a photo of the car meter before leaving. The lady at the desk told me I was good to go. Couple days later I looked at my receipt to show that they charged me a fuel service fee for $99.80. I called it in and they asked for gas receipts. On their records it showed I left with 8/8 level and brought it back 3/8. Customer service didn't apologize and more so asked for evidence. Made a complaint but all I got was an email stating they're going to do better. Still haven't received my money back yet. I will not be purchasing my rentals with them ever again.

Alamo very bad service, the car was not ready even though I reserved it 10 days before, they brought me one that was not clean and I had to wait 30 minutes

If you come later in the night, dont expect to find much assistance if any at all. The rental car center is also on the other side of the airport and you need to find your way to the appropriate area. Its not conveniently located. We had to travel with the entire family, what felt like a mile or more with all the suitcases. Then once you get your car assignment, you need to navigate to it, all by yourself, with no one there late at night to assist you.I am not sure what the daytime experience is like, but coming at night, is a very poor experience.
