A & M Comics & Books is a Miami staple and the city's oldest comic shop, operating for over 50 years. It is an old school, dimly lit store filled with an ancient paper smell and crammed to the roof with comics, comic related paraphernalia, collectibles, and antiquities. The selection is insane, almost having everything, and the place is filled to the brim. It provides a wonderfully bizarre and cozy feel, like a chamber of secrets for those with time to scrummage and discover elusive items. The store’s allure comes from its overwhelming, packed shelves where it seems one pulled comic could topple half the store, with some items unseen for over a decade. The sales help is fantastic, friendly, smart, quick witted, and super chill, with an old New Yorker type of charm. They know where to find what you need and get it for you quickly, providing great service. While the organized chaos can be overwhelming for those seeking efficiency, it is a highly recommended destination for any comic book fans traveling south or locals looking for a treasure hunt. It is a great store with a comforting smell of wood, where you can find cool stuff without giving your hard earned dollars to big online retailers.

The store is crammed with comics and comic related paraphernalia, but they know where to find what you need. I try to go to a comic book store closer to me but they don’t help you the way this store does. Will be returning.

Growing up in Miami it seemed like I was always at A&M with my Dad buying all sorts of cool stuff. The staff especially Jorge were the best.I've seen current pictures of the place and it looks the same lol. Memories I will always treasure.
