My mother went to the store with the family coupon that is issued to the employees. The manager was disrespectful, rude and told her that if she did not buy the glasses from them, they would not accept the coupon. In addition to not accepting the coupon because she didn’t want to buy the glasses, the manager wanted to keep the employee coupon. Ultimately, she ended up paying for the exam,
If a family member for an employee of the company is treated in a disrespectful manner I could only imagine the way they treat the costumer.
Update -
The company is quick to respond on Google however, they cant keep their promises.
I was told by the customer service representative that the manager would reach out between 24-48 hours. Its been 5 days and nothing. Great way to treat the customers .

Mikayla was the best at America’s Best at the Miami Gardens drive location. The reason I am going back to this location is because of Mikayla’s niceness and compassion. I believe she should be a manager of a store and get a huge raise!

I have never once experienced having to wait 2 hours from start of appointment time until I got my prescription just for an eye exam. What an awful experience. The waiting room was empty the whole time. Had the pre exam not already been done, i wouldnt have waited for this appointment. The front display area is covered in dust. I would not recommend anyone waste their time and money here. They do not live up to their name what so ever.

If I could give -4 stars I would. 2+ hours waiting to get contacts with an appointment... waiting room was completely empty... Honestly it was quite humorous this is called Americas BEST. Decided to buy glasses some where else. Dont waste your time there are better places to go.
The woman who did the pre exam was pleasent though. So thanks for that.

★☆☆☆☆ COMPLETE SCAM — Disrespectful to Teens, Misleading Prices, and Manipulative Staff (Employee: Emily)
Let me tell you about my horrible experience at America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. I’m 17 years old and I walked in by myself, just trying to get the advertised deal of 2 pairs of glasses for $89.95 — something they proudly display everywhere. I’ve been here before with my dad a few years ago, and everything was fine then. This time, I figured I could handle it myself — big mistake.
I asked about the deal, and the employee, Emily, immediately told me I couldn’t get it because I’m a minor. That alone made no sense, because nowhere in the ad does it say you have to be 18. I was confused, so I asked her a simple question:
“What if I were 18? Would the price be $89.95 then?”
Instead of just answering me respectfully, she hit me with this sarcastic, judgmental response:
“We don’t do anything illegal here, honey. And now that you told me your age, you can’t lie to me about it 🤓.”
Excuse me? I never said I was going to lie or do anything illegal. I was just asking a question. I left feeling insulted and treated like I was trying to pull something shady when I was simply trying to understand the pricing.
To make things worse, they wanted to charge me $250 — just because I’m 17 years old. That’s nearly three times the price of the advertised deal. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of me being young and alone without a parent.
So I came back the next day with my dad. He immediately called them out for the ridiculous price and said it made no sense for a child to pay that much. The staff gave more vague excuses and we ended up calling corporate. Corporate confirmed it was “their policy” — but there was never a sign in the store saying the deal was 18+.
My dad told them straight up:
“Then why the hell don’t you put a sign that says 18 and over? That’s misleading.”
And he’s 100% right. No warning, no fine print, no nothing. Just a bait-and-switch tactic to either get more money from kids or pressure their parents into paying more.
Emily’s attitude was rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional. And the store itself? Shady, misleading, and clearly willing to exploit minors.
If you’re under 18, stay far away from this place unless you want to be overcharged and disrespected.
And if you’re a parent, be warned — this place will try to scam your kid if they walk in alone.
I will never come back here again. Ever.
AND I HAVE EVIDENCE THAT IT DOES NOT SAY YOU HAVE TO BE 18+

I took my son 17 yrs old to get the special offer $89 advertised all over the place and the store manager her name Emile claimed since he is not 18 yrs old they can not accept him for that price. There is no where say that policy anywhere on their advertisements. This is ridiculous knowing he came same store 4 yrs ago and got that same deal back then was $79. This is false advertisements.

Came in with my brother to pick up his glasses, manager gave me a attitude and was condescending and didnt let me pick up my brothers glasses unless my dad was there. Other staff beforehand were nice, i was able to buy my own frames as a 16 year old but not able to pick up prepaid ordered glasses with my brother.
