We had such a great experience with our group at this studio! Gus was so helpful, funny, and friendly. I wish I lived closer so I could take classes!

I’m so happy that this exists as I’ve always wanted to try out pottery. Amazing service even before I’ve gotten a class, and honestly I know I’m going to love coming here every time I have a chance to come back home to Miami :) So excites!

Took the beginner wheel class to celebrate my birthday, my cousin and I really enjoyed the class. We created 3 pots in total and I was told the first one was included while any extras were $5 each. I decided to keep 2. I gave the instructor my color requests and was told they’d be ready around 2 weeks. When I came to pick up, coincidentally the same instructor from my class was there, I was sad to realize one of my pots was fired in the wrong color… I asked what could be done about this and I was told he wasn’t responsible because he wasn’t the person that fired them. I was told I could contact the manager. I called the establishment two days in a row a couple times each day, starting on a Monday, just to be met with a voicemail each time.Regardless if my money could have been refunded it was truly the apathetic lack of accountability from the instructor as a “welp, deal with it” attitude that disrupted my experience here.

I have been going to this studio for years, and just recently took the one time pottery class and had the best experience! This studio is a Miami hidden gem with talented and helpful staff who always go above and beyond.

Booked a class for Sunday afternoon in Spanish with Osmani. He was a great teacher and helped and guided us throughout the process. We would love to book the 5-class course with him in the near future!!

Booked a last minute class for two through their website, and really enjoyed our time here. Our instructor Noah was awesome! Patient and helpful in explaining the basics. Definitely will be looking into expanding our pottery skills behind the wheel in the future.

My husband and I came to Anhinga when we went to Miami on vacation. We always wanted to learn pottery but never got the chance to.We signed up for one of the one-time pottery classes. (They do these multiple nights a week, so we picked a day that worked with our vacation plans). We're both total newbies, but Gus was really patient with us and thoroughly explained everything we were supposed to do and why; first by demonstrating and then by helping us make really cool bowls from start to finish. The folks at the studio glaze and fire the bowls for us, and Gus even offered to ship them to our home in Connecticut. We had a total blast! This class made us both want to continue doing pottery, even once we're back home. If you're looking to learn a new artistic skill and aren't afraid to get your hands a little dirty, definitely book a spot in one of their classes - you won't regret it!

This is a wonderful family run studio by 2 elementary school art teachers. They are so dedicated to their mentoring of young students and adults. The children are learning to make all kinds of clay items and they do an amazing job! My grandkids all go there for art classes and camp. They love it. They have leaned so much and my grandson even got accepted into a magnet art school thanks to Gus helping him with his portfolio. We have done birthday parties there and all the kids loved it. They got to make things and take them home. You can tell that both Gus and Melissa love what they do. They are a blessing to be able to pass this along to the community.

This is the best place in Miami for a pottery class. As a 100% beginner, my wife and I were able to make and keep 3 cups/bowls each (6 total) and learn the basics of pottery for 2 hours for a grand total of $120.The price includes your choice of glaze color and firing/finishing of the pots. We will definitely be going back for a date night in the future.

I've absolutely loved my experience at Anhinga Pottery Studio! I am currently taking the 4-week pottery class with Noah on Mondays and he is a great teacher; very knowledgable and patient with all of the students in the class. Highly recommend checking them out for the one-time pottery class for a date night!

Had an amazing time doing the 2 hour class Victoria was our instructor and did an outstanding job guiding us! My wife and daughter loved the class and we genuinely had a great time learning the basics of throwing clay on a pottery wheel. Based off our own personal experience I would highly recommend them to anyone who is curious and wanting to try it. We never felt rushed and the small group size made for excellent instruction and guidance. Can't wait to come back and pick up our finished pieces!

BEST POTTERY STUDIO IN MIAMI!!! Gus and all of the instructors are great! The studio is clean, always has chill music playing, and you can't beat the prices for everything you get.

I am disappointed with how the owner handled my party on Feb.26th. I reserved the class for my birthday, and we were all very excited to do something different. Gus was really nice on the phone when reserving and we paid upfront for the 2 hour class ($350 then an additional $50 for another person) On the site it asks for 50% deposit but we were happy to give the full amount. Unfortunately, two of my friends got covid right before the class and my grandfather was in the hospital the same day. Half of the party was family so we had to miss out but the ones who could have made it wanted to reschedule the class since I could not attend. Gus was really rude on the phone, especially being a small business and for us being new to his studio should have handled it differently. He asked for the death certificate to prove that my grandfather passed away. What company asks for that and how extremely insensitive for someone who lost a grandparent. we were not asking for a refund but to reschedule the class. Since my friends had that encounter, and Gus said he could not reschedule, they went to the studio. When they got there, the doors were closed and when they called, Gus said they can do the class but "would have to wait however long it took for the teacher to get there" For being a small business, it was the worst way to handle this situation. Yes it was the same day but we can't plan tragedies that happen to us. And again, we were not asking for a refund, but to reschedule. My friend Jessica left a review saying it was my grandmother who was sick but it was my grandfather. My grandmother passed just 3 months prior to my grandfather so for a business asking for a customer's grandfathers "death certificate" is extremely unprofessional. We will never do business with this place again.

I have never dealt with a business with such bad customer service. The owner is extremely rude and should not be running a business when he thinking it's normal to yell at customers over the phone. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone.
