Pretty much the most important book store in America (if you aren't sure why, the Beat Museum across the street can help). Not going to go through the history, but why wouldn't you buy some books (preferably a couple of pocket poet series selections) from the place that gave shelter, lawyers, and encouragement to Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, Gregory Corso, Diane DiPrima, Amiri Baraka, Michael McClure, etc. etc. etc.
