I recently purchased a brand new PS5 Slim for my son from GameStop, and I am extremely disappointed with both the product and the customer service I received. Two days after the purchase, we tried to insert a game, but the PS5 would not accept the disc and made a clicking sound.
I called GameStop and spoke with an employee named Gene. He informed me that the manager was off and would be back in a few days, so I should try calling then. Gene had no idea how to handle the situation or provide any assistance. When I asked for a reimbursement or a replacement for the faulty PS5, he told me to call in a few days. What kind of settlement is that!?
I explained that this was unacceptable and cited the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), which entitles consumers to a refund, repair, or replacement if an item is defective immediately within the legal requirement timeframe. Despite this, Gene refused to help, leaving me with a defective product and no resolution in sight other than the blow off of speak to someone else in a few days. Leaving me no choice but to file a complaint with the Florida Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Services as well as the Better Business Bureau as it is within my right to claim reimbursement or replacement immediately upon discovering the product was defective.
This experience was a complete waste of time. The service was rude and unhelpful, and now I am stuck with a faulty PS5 and no one at GameStop willing to assist. Shame on you, GameStop, for your poor customer service and lack of accountability.

Honestly didn’t buy anything due to my financial situation. But their employee Mario is incredible and extremely passionate and knowledgeable about his craft and the products that he handles. He’s super nice and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Will go back to buy something in the future because of him.

They try to Scam you into buying the GameStop pro membership with auto annual renewal. Representative literally said in order to buy a game console from us you must purchase a GameStop pro membership. You can literally go to Best Buy, Amazon, target or Walmart and get it without any additional membership fees. So I called GameStop customer service line directly to confirm this in which they responded that is not true and they will report the store and representative. Imagine going with your children to buy them a gift that they are excited about to have the store employee try his best to lie, deceive, and scam you right in front of your children.

I bought a PS5 pre-owned basketball 2024 game as a present for Christmas for my son and didn’t work on the PS5, it was damaged or for some reason not supported by the console. I called them for a replacement, refund or credit and they didn’t help me because I lost my receipt. Even that they have a bar code for the game box and my credit card invoice, or event the store cameras can proof I purchase the game, they say no and did not give me any solution. Unfortunately I will never buy in their shop again and I hope this doesn’t happen to more customers.Shame on Game Stop, I was only asking for customer service care.

Don't go there to buy the manager so-called Henry is a real jackass to say the least he stands there not helping his worker Chris. Chris does everything in the place. Believe me stay away from this little rinky-dink store it's not worth it go somewhere else will you be treated like a real customer and not insulted like the manager Henry insulted me

Ah, Game Stop. I worked here when I was 17, back when FAO Swartz was next door. I worked there too. I have to say, the experience was less than favorable and they still have yet to give me my last paycheck! Yeah, I keep claiming for it but somehow they refuse to mail it out. Its not the money, its the principal of it. The manager only offered hours that overlapped with my classes and then ended up firing me because I would not skip class to do a shift. Their customer service is as bad as their employee treatment.
