The e-mail states that the launch started at 3pm. The store was sold out by 6pm. The midnight release was for pickups. The huge line was waiting for their paid product.

One of the worst GameStop’s ive been to in terms of organization and service. Completely dropped the ball on the nintendo switch 2 midnight release, what does “units available for sale at midnight” even mean? And if you didn’t actually have any, as advertised, why wouldn’t you make an announcement to the enormous line outside the door? Me and a group of others waited in line for an hour for them to tell us they didn’t have any consoles. One worker was nice and apologetic, but the rest of the workers were just trying to get us out the door and not answering any questions which was extremely rude after making us wait an hour for nothing. Luckily Best Buy actually had units available for purchase, and i was able to get one despite wasting an hour at gamestop in the miami heat and humidity. Gamestop just isn’t what they used to be, and i will never shop at this store, or any other gamestop again.

After a disappointing experience at another GameStop location, I walked into this store feeling skeptical and frustrated. Fortunately, that changed the moment I was greeted by Javier.
From the outset, Javier demonstrated what true customer service looks like. He listened attentively to my concerns, showed empathy for the poor experience I’d had elsewhere, and took immediate steps to not only resolve the issue but exceed my expectations. His product knowledge was outstanding, his attitude was genuinely positive, and his professionalism was unmatched.
Javier went above and beyond to make sure I left the store satisfied—not just with the purchase, but with the overall experience. It's rare to come across someone so dedicated to helping customers and restoring trust in a brand.
Thanks to Javier, this GameStop has earned my loyalty. If you’re looking for knowledgeable, respectful, and solution-focused service, this is the location to visit—and Javier is the person to ask for.

One of the closest GameStops to me and they have been very helpful when doing any purchases with them. Also the coworkers make you feel welcomed, would recommend anyone to pass by!!!

I’ve been going to GameStop for years, and I used to always see Jerry at the 8th St location. He’s incredibly well-informed, always helpful, and genuinely goes above and beyond for customers. Ever since that location closed, he’s been at this one, and nothing’s changed—still just as GOAT’ed. The store itself is always clean, well-stocked, and has the latest releases, but let’s be real—Jerry is the reason I make the extra trip here instead of going to closer store. There are plenty of GameStops, but only one GOAT. 🗣️
