The staff was amazing, however the food was horrible. The oxtails had too much sugar, the Rasta Pasta was plain, the Escovitch Fish had no seasonings and was very dry. I did enjoy the okra and salt fish. Unfortunately this was my second visit and I refuse to go back to this restaurant until they hire a new Chef. Please improve soon.

I liked the modern look & feel but lacked dine in seating. Food (Curry goat) was too salty, but good drink selection, maybe just an off day & hour since it's cafeteria style. Coming from Jamaica I expected better.

Absolute pleasure to check out this spot while in the area recently! JA peeps when mi tell yu de food good, de food good! Hard to choose so my friend and I got the j*** ribs, stew peas, and the oxtail (nice portions and not stingy on the gravy). The staff was so friendly and welcoming and I loved how the space is so airy and bright. Big ups to the owners and their staff - well done!Vegetarian options: They had plenty of vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Not a vegetable but they had plenty of vegetarian options.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access

My family and I visited this location today and it was an absolute phenomenal experience. From being greeted at the door upon entering the restaurant, to the exceptional customer service provided, and the food being amazing! We ordered Fried Chicken and Oxtail with Rice & Peas. I highly recommend this Particular Golden Crust as it is top notch above the rest!

Great food, friendly staff and the owner even greeted me upon entering the restaurant. The place was extremely clean and well kept. The bun & cheese is a must have! The Oxtail with rice & peas was delicious! I would certainly recommend this Golden Krust and plan on visiting again!

My family has been going here for over 20 years and now they’re under new management. I went for the Grand Opening; food was good. But now I return with my daughter at 4:30 in the afternoon and I saw that the steam tables, with food in them, were drying up. The j*** pork and the j*** chicken were very dry and we asked if that was all that they had. The young man told me no, so I wanted fresh pork in the steam table. But the young lady that was taking care of us, Genevieve, wanted to know why didn’t I want the last of the j*** pork. So when I explained that the steam table dries out the pork when it sits there that long all day, she seemed to have quite an attitude from me giving some constructive criticism. You see when you put food in your steam table you’ll have to come and toss whatever you have in them over. The j*** chicken was dry. I tried to explain it to them and she wasn’t too happy about it. I’m not returning, nor my family to something like that because she almost didn’t seem to care of how the food looked in the steam table. I’d rather go to Sango’s across the street. I rated this one star and lucky that I have to put a rating on it cause I would say zero stars. There was one kid there that was very polite, that understood what I was talking about so as I walked out, I look in the steam table and I see this square piece of something yellow; and I ask “What is that?”. The reply was “This is macaroni and cheese.”. And I ask are you kidding me? And he looked at me and he knew that macaroni and cheese ain’t supposed to look like that, and it was just one piece flying solo in the steam table almost like they didn’t care. The owner was there or was he the manager; he did not even come out the back because he knew what I was talking about because he was walking back-and-forth. You know how it is in the kitchen, and he wanted to come out to hear what I was saying or to try to correct it. You know how it goes in a business they’re mumbling mumbling and they won’t come out to the front to face what I was talking about; now they have somebody explaining to the guy who knows about service that has been in the hospitality business and this is how it turns out. So this is my message to you guys who are there. Always ask questions, look at the food that you’re receiving because a lotta people taking shortcuts giving you the last of the last and it’s not right. How about that?

The staff at this Golden Krust is absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting both morning and afternoon shift employees and they were all absolutely wonderful. They were kind, patient, helpful and passionate. Aside from the amazing service and personalities, the food is delicious. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. I highly recommend visiting and enjoying some delicious Caribbean cuisine.Vegetarian options: Golden Krust offers vegetable and spinach patties.

This evening dinner was fantastic with great courtesy from the owner now highly recommend to come in and enjoy a good Jamaican Caribbean food this place is a five-star in service and great food.

This particular Golden Krust has come a long way, at least from my last visit which has been a few years ago. Although a small establishment, It was very clean and updated. The staff was very friendly and the Manager in charge during my visit was very courteous. The food was great, I had the traditional "**** Chicken, rice & peas and plantains" this meal wouldn't be complete without the "Festival Bread" that compliments the J*** spice ? speaking of Festival, I forgot how huge and dense they are ? and I ordered quite a few ?♂️ I named it the "Jamaican Olive Garden breadstick" ? anyhow, good food, clean establishment and a courteous staff ?? keep up the good work!

The service was great, atmosphere is very welcoming. But the food… can’t be a real Jamaican in that kitchen. I ordered a large (which comes in what the average restaurant would consider to be a small container) stew chicken with rice and peas and that was absolutely the worst “Jamaican plate” I’ve ever had in my life. Hands down. No allspice seasoning. No browning. No scotch bonnet. The gravy is TOO sweet and the rice tasted like water. Absolutely no flavor. Driest plaintain EVER. Couldn’t finish the plate, I gave it to the homeless guy down by the Family Dollar and went across the street to Sangos. Food is overpriced and unauthentic. My most humblest opinion. Not Jamaican food but JAMERICAN food.

I was very disappointed with my Large Chicken soup. I was craving some good homemade Jamaican chicken soup, so I decided to check out Golden Krust (Kendall) in Colonial Plaza shopping center. When I walked in the staff was pleasant and the restaurant was clean. There was a young man who greeted me and took my order, I asked him if he could add extra dumplin to my soup and he said yes without hesitation. I could not wait to get home to devour the soup… The soup was cold, had three tiny tiny tiny pieces of dumplin, extra salty like it came out of a bag or can, and just overall REPULSIVE. Needless to say, I did not have any lunch to eat. This is NOT the Jamaican chicken soup I know and grew up on. I usually drive all the way to Golden Krust in Miami Gardens at 183rd and 7th Ave, when I want to satisfy my Jamaican food cravings. I was very hopeful that with Golden Krust Kendall reopening, the food and service would be exceptional. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Sadly, I do not plan to return as I do not want to waste my time, money, and be disappointed again. I did call the store to let them know the soup was repugnant, and I was told a manager would call me back. I never received a callback.
