I arrived and asked for some help with locating the item I needed. I was helped instantly by a lovely staff member that was gorgeous and really cared.
I highly suggest you visit this location.

They ask for donations, when you say no they charge you anyway and tell you they will take the money from their own pocket even though it’ll show on my receipt. I’m not stupid. Donating is fine, but after repeatedly saying NO and they still charge me without my consent. These people are thieves. Every time I come here the cashier tells me “don’t get mad when I charge you” sure I’ll be annoyed when I have to deal with thieves taking my money without my consent.

I recently visited Goodwill and was deeply disturbed by the way a manager, Kari, treated one of her customers. The behavior I witnessed was not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable. It’s hard to believe that such hostility and disrespect could come from someone in a position of authority. The lady that Kari was “assisting” was clearly being undermined and spoken to in a manner that was demeaning and belittling.
In any work environment, no matter where, kindness, respect, and professionalism should be at the forefront. What I observed from Kari was the exact opposite. Her actions were not only upsetting to watch but, more importantly, they set a harmful example of how to treat others in the workplace and this kind of behavior should not be tolerated, and it’s critical that management takes this issue seriously. Both customers and employees deserve to be treated with dignity. I sincerely hope that this review prompts a change in how the customers are treated and that steps are taken to ensure that such behavior never happens again.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at this location. When I asked for assistance in finding an item (which I only do when i have to), the staff member who helped me was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. I was shocked by their attitude, but even more so when I later discovered that this individual was supposedly the manager. I expect better customer service, especially from someone in a leadership role like the one that “Kari” the manager has. I hope this matter will be addressed to prevent similar experiences for other customers in the future.

Never thought I would be leaving a bad review for a Goodwill, but here we are. I’m not sure if the employees just aren’t on the same page or maybe don’t want to work, but I came two days in a row to donate some furniture and both times I had to leave. First night I went around 8pm, but the employees told me the back, which accepts furniture, closes at a different time from their normal store hours. I told them what I had, a sofa bed in great condition, and they told me they would accept it and to come back the next day. The next day, I left work to come drop off the furniture. After finding parking in the obnoxiously crowded parking lot, I entered the store to let them know I had the furniture and if I could go around back to drop it off. There were at least 5 employees gathered at the counter who heard me say this and they all told me that they would accept the furniture and to go around back. When I got to the back of the store, one lady told me they would not accept beds or cribs, even though I told her it was a sofa bed and that the employees in the store told me it was fine. Then another employee told me they were at capacity and could not accept it. Even asked me where they were supposed to store it. I told them that the employees in the front told me twice that it was acceptable. He said “whoever said that didn’t know what they were talking about.” I’m not sure which it was, but needless to say they need to get on the same page. I have always donated my lightly used items to goodwill in the past, but I’ll have to find a different thrift store/Goodwill location going forward. The employees themselves were nice for the most part, and the store usually has great items, just too much of a headache to donate. I had other items as well, but again, I’ll have to find a different store. I hope to change this review in the future, since I genuinely like Goodwill.

Establishment is clean, the items are not the issue. The problem is the customer service that the employees have. I always make my donation through the cashier, and I have never had a problem. I tried to donate a bag of clothes and goodies today, I arrived there at 8:56 (4 minutes before closing) and the door was already locked. I talked through the closed door with an employee and explained that I was just trying to drop off a donation and she refuse to open the door. She gave me attitude and send me to the back to drop off my bag. I did went all the way to the back where it’s pitch black and there are signs that clearly say that dumping your stuff is illegal… I rang the little bell they have and no one came to pick up my donation. I turned around and went all the way to the main entrance of the store and explained that no one opened the door. Just for all the employees to roll their eyes on me and told me they were closed (mind you is 9:02pm to this point). It’s extremely frustrating and disappointing that they treat customers that are just trying to make a donation for a greater cause like this…

You have to love the charity work done by Goodwill.
Very nice store with a wide selection of clean and nice 2nd hand items offered at very low prices.
Go do a good deed and shop on Goodwill, while treating yourself to some new clothes.

Before I even got off the car, a man was yelling at me saying he was not going to accept my table console, because it was raining so it had gotten wet. I first went to the donation trailer on Kendall and 97th which was supposed to be open but the person working decided to lock the gate (it was Sunday at 1 PM when it’s supposed to be open per the website). It started raining on the way. I even got a towel from the truck and dried the surface of the table. I had removed the drawers so that I can maneuver the table easier but then another man said that he would not accept it because the drawers were removed. It was a negotiation from the get go- two lazy men working at the donation area, rejecting donations. I understand the criticism of Goodwill now- which is that it is not a non-profit or anything “good” about it, just another business.

Cute Goodwill, reasonably priced but very poor selection of items and they’re usually in poor condition and super confusing to pick out.
