I am shocked, furious, and heartbroken by the experience that occurred at this Home Depot location. What should have been a simple visit turned into a humiliating and emotionally distressing situation, all because of the unprofessional and offensive behavior of an employee and a manager named Vivian.
A customer was overcharged at checkout — items were scanned multiple times. When they returned to calmly ask for a refund, the cashier, who did not speak Spanish, called for the manager. Vivian showed up not to help, but to escalate. She approached the situation with an aggressive, condescending tone that was completely unacceptable.
Instead of listening or assisting, Vivian tried to shame and intimidate the customer in front of others. When asked to speak respectfully, she responded by throwing the customer out of the store. No apology, no explanation — just hostility.
This behavior was not just rude; it felt deeply personal. Whether it was prejudice, a language barrier, or simply a total lack of professionalism, the situation was handled with cruelty and arrogance. It was disgraceful.
Home Depot needs to take this seriously. The conduct displayed by this manager was not only inappropriate but harmful. No customer should be treated this way. And if this is the kind of leadership being upheld in your stores, it reflects a much deeper problem.
This incident deserves attention, accountability, and action. This incident took place around 7:00pm on 7/1/25.

Very slow service in the paint department same associates taking care of only 1 client for 15 minutes. The counter was full. Another associate came and took care of 4 other clients and this associate with same client. Very slow, shouldn’t be in paint department. Also, any of your associates speak English???? You walk the store, store associates talking and not doing anything. They see you in aisle but turn around and walk away. Parking lot is dirty. There is always trash every where. This is billon dollar company, send money and hire good quality people that speak English.

I visit this store almost daily, and unfortunately, I’ve noticed a consistent decline in organization, customer service, and overall professionalism.
Safety & Organization
Forklifts move around while people are shopping, often without clear warnings. Some aisles are blocked or closed during regular hours, and it makes the store feel disorganized. It’s hard to navigate with carts, and prices don’t always match the products.
Customer Service
Many of the employees seem untrained or uninterested in helping. I've been called things like “pipo” or “papo,” which may sound casual but feel unprofessional in this setting. There’s a noticeable lack of attention to how customers are treated.
Local Standard
I’ve been to Home Depot stores in other states and the experience was completely different — more organized and respectful. This seems to be a Miami-specific problem, and it's disappointing to see that kind of inconsistency in a national brand.
What I Hope Changes
Home Depot has the resources to offer excellent service and a safe, organized environment. With better supervision and proper training, this store could get back to the high standards it once had.

I visited the Home Depot location on Bird Road in search of tiles for a bathroom repair. The staff was very helpful, and Jessica, in particular, provided me with excellent assistance. I bought some tiles and products. Thank you for your help, Jessica.

Ali in home appliances was absolutely the most helpful and knowledgeable associate I have ever met. He helped my wife and I find exactly what we were looking for in a new refrigerator.

Trying to pull out three 10ft. PVC poles in front of about four employees who were in the way with their carts of merchandise, chatting wih each other, I was clearly struggling. I had to move one of their carts just to get near the poles because they clearly did not see me (too busy joking around). Not one of them acknowledged my presence, let alone offered to help. I am a petite woman, and would have appreciated the assistance but alas, the Miami aloofness toward customer service really shone at this Home Depot. I only came to this HD cause I was driving by it, I’d much rather go to HD of Doral. I will never step in to this HD again.

I have had the need to visit to buy materials in the store in the months of March and April 2024 and the SERVICE THAT THEY OFFER is A DISASTER from incompetence in information, treatment of me and other clients of the staff who works on the lines, workers of the lines that meet to talk and when you ask them for help THEY GET ANNOYED OR GIVE YOU OTHER WRONG INFORMATION. I wonder if the store's security cameras weren't working? Where is THE MANAGER WITH HIS WORK STAFF, I read all the comments posted before mine. There are comments from years and months ago WHICH ARE MORE GREAT AT THE MOMENT. FROM CLEANING THE STORE WITH THE CART AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY, to arranging merchandise on the lines. IT'S NOT JUST MY OPINION, I HAVE HEARD USERS COMMENTING ABOUT BAD FUNCTIONING, DISINTEREST, BAD WORD TREATMENT, BAD INFORMATION, AND MANY OTHER THINGS THAT WOULD NEVER FINISH. I AM SURE THAT THE OWNERS OF THE HOME DEPOT STORE CHAIN DO NOT AGREE WITH WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS STORE.
