I worked one on one with Julian for the MBE portion of my bar exam. He was absolutely amazing. Always made time, never made me feel like I couldn’t ask even the simplest of questions. My percentage went up, my reading comp went up, my rule recall and overall understanding went up thanks to him. He was always so positive and i would recommend him to anyone who wants to secure a passing score!

My tutor, Julian Marx, was truly the BEST part of my Florida Bar prep journey. As a “re-taker,” I wasn’t sure what to expect and worried it might feel like other prep programs that hadn’t worked for me. But Julian far exceeded my expectations.
He helped me realize that my struggle wasn’t with knowing the law, but with identifying what the questions were really asking. This shift in approach gave me a new level of confidence. Julian also shared countless small tips and strategies that ensured I picked up every possible point.
Every session was productive, professional, and incredibly valuable. The MBE has always been my biggest challenge since I tend to overthink multiple-choice questions, but with Julian’s guidance, I not only improved my skills but also learned a lot about myself and how to approach these questions effectively.
Julian’s dedication to his students is truly top tier. He met with me the evening before my MBE exam for a thorough review and even followed up afterward to ask how it went. That level of care showed me he genuinely invests in the success of each student he tutors.
I truly could not have gotten through this bar prep journey without him, and I’m forever grateful that I was paired with Julian Marx.

I worked with Julian (for federal MBE) and Katya (for Florida) throughout the summer. Both tutors were knowledgeable, supportive, professional, and helpful.
Prior to working with them, I failed a previous bar and felt overwhelmed with the cumbersome outlines from my bar prep course. Julian and Katya helped me narrow down to the topics that are commonly tested, instead of driving myself insane with less-tested details. They helped me to stay focused, on track, and encouraged me this summer. This year, I am actually prepared for the bar exam because of their help.

This is exactly where you need to be- with IBIS! Andrew is funny, knowledgeable and very supportive. I sat for the FL Bar several times before passing the MBE and I have Andrew to thank. I am currently in the class again to focus on the FL portion and I don’t need to wait till I find out my result for the upcoming FEB exam because I am confident they will guide me to the finish line. February 2025 FL Bar Exam Review
—I first took the CT bar exam in 2013 using Barbri. I was a student right out of school at that time. I decided to take the FL bar exam 10+ years later, attempting to do the same Barbri program. This time was different. I was a full-time employee with a family, and I could not keep up with the Barbri course. I took the FL bar exam 2x using Barbri and failed 2x. For my third attempt, I looked for another option that was geared more toward learning the meat and potatoes and moving from lectures to application, as I did not have the time that I did when I first studied for the bar exam in 2013. That is how I found Ibis prep.
—Andrew has not only mastered the FL bar exam, but has mastered teaching the tools to success. The cost of the course was much cheaper than Barbri, especially considering that the course is more individualized. Barbri will have you isolated watching hours and hours of lectures and then cram in a lot of questions at the end. Ibis has you learning the law as you go, so you’re more confident going into the weeks before the test when most others are questioning what they have learned. It is also in a more digestible format, that allows you to learn 2x as much law in half the time per day (in comparison to Barbri). When I went into the exam, I felt more confident and the results showed, as I passed the FL bar exam with much higher scores than prior attempts.
—If you are looking for a course that will provide you with the information needed to pass the test and give you the confidence needed to conquer the exam on test day, you should choose Ibis prep…especially if you have been out of school for a while or you work full-time.

Ibis Prep is wonderful!!! Julian Marx is my bar prep tutor and he is SO MUCH more helpful than Barbri. I was so discouraged with Barbri. Barbri throws everything but the kitchen sink at you whereas Julian keeps everything simple, stupid/actually makes mastery of the material both attainable and practical. I have a 9-5 but have the confidence I will pass with Julian's tutoring skills. He's also super nice and never makes me feel dumb even when I ask really dumb questions so I really appreciate him! Best tutor period. 10/10 would recommend.

Ibis Prep is exactly what students need for the Florida bar. My sincere appreciation goes out to Julian. He is extremely skilled at what he does, and combines rigor and relevance for the Florida portion in a digestible format that absolutely will stick with you on exam day. I trusted IBIS and Julian as my primary study tool for the Florida law portion of the bar exam, and achieved a first-time pass. It was the best academic decision I've ever made. I have been studying for the bar exam with Julian Marx and cannot recommend him enough.
I have seen a tremendous increase in my scores. Julian's takes my learning style into account for our classes and thoroughly takes the time to make sure I am not only understanding the concepts but also ensures that I can apply them on practice questions as well.

I studied with Ibis Prep for the February 2025 Florida Bar Exam and successfully passed, with room to spare, both the Florida and MBE sections. I cannot emphasize enough how meaningful of an impact that Ibis Prep and Andrew had on me passing the exam. I found the materials contained within both the FL and MBE complete courses extremely helpful, especially Andrew's personally created Multiple Choice Question Bank. Additionally, the live lectures were invaluable to my experience with Ibis Prep. Andrew's ability to break down, often complex topics and concepts, into a more understandable way was critical to my success.
Andrew and his staff care deeply about the ultimate success of each and every one of their students. If you put in the effort, and listen to the guidance Andrew and his staff provide, I have no doubt that you can achieve the goals that you set for yourself like I did. Andrew and the IBIS Prep Bar Exam courses are the reason I passed the February 2025 Exam. If you are looking for a Bar Exam course and/or tutor, look no further. I cannot say enough about Andrew and the entire IBIS Prep team. The personalized support I received throughout the entire process was unparalleled. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable about the exam content and strategies, and he is patient in his teachings. From experience, I can confidently say that he provides a service unlike any commercial Bar Prep program or private tutor. I also worked privately with Glenn Garcia who was able to identify my weakest areas and turn them into strengths. After taking the MBE Course and MBE Bootcamp, I felt more prepared and confident going into the exam than any prior administration. I am forever indebted to Andrew and his team for helping me to accomplish a scaled score well beyond passing. I studied with Ibis for the February 2025 administration of the Florida Bar Exam, 11 years after graduating from law school in 2014 and after a large amount of time from my last attempt at the exam in 2016.
I studied with a big box program, another tutoring group, and tried self study on my previous attempts but was unable to pass. The Ibis program had me so thoroughly prepared for the exam that I passed with more than enough room to spare.
I cannot recommend Andrew and his team enough. They genuinely cared about me as a student, and I could not have done this without them!
