I’ve been a customer for over 20 years. I used to drive clear across the county to an honest Toyota shop until they were sold; after a shop about a mile up the road told me my Lexus’ engine had seized and would have to be replaced, I remembered that a friend had mentioned having a good experience with this shop that’s under a mile away from me. I towed my car from the other shop and took a chance, telling the owner of Japanese Auto Tech that I’d been told my engine had seized and would have to be replaced. He called me a short while later to let me know that not only had the engine not seized, but that all I needed was a cleaning of the throttle body for under $50. They earned a customer for life that day and have never disappointed.

Only one star because they said “hello” but it was terrible that they could helped me and they said “we don’t do that” only because takes a lot time and I supposed that they prefer to do works that take less time and get more money.
The person who attended me knew how to do it and he explained me the process, so why don’t do it???

Got a O2 sensor fixed along with a valve cover gasket in my ‘92 miata. Friendly and helped me diagnose from where the leak was coming from. No problems whatsoever after the repair. Glad I found this place. Will be coming back again, if I need anything else fixed.

As far as customer service goes, they are lacking big time. I took my 07 Civic Si in today for some routine maintenance and the mechanic who I talked to and worked on my car was just flat out not nice.
I don't expect a red carpet to be rolled out by any means, but when you're charging $150/hour for your service, I expect at least to be greeted/treated properly and warmly.
I found this place on google and thought it was going to be a great experience because of the reviews. From the price to the customer service, it was quite a disappointment.
As far as their mechanic work, we'll see if it holds up. So far no issues.
