I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at JCPenney Optical, assisted by Betty. The quality of the glasses I received was abysmal. I have always ordered from America's Best and never had any issues, but this time I decided to purchase two pairs of progressive glasses from JCPenney Optical. Unfortunately, both pairs were of poor quality with badly centered lenses and small focal points, making it impossible to move my head without losing vision.
Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, JCPenney Optical refused to provide a refund or store credit. I made five trips to their store to claim the glasses were made incorrectly, and each time they falsely claimed they sent them to the lab. After five months of back and forth, I received the glasses back in the same poor condition. This clearly indicates that their quality is simply unacceptable.
Do not waste your money buying glasses from JCPenney Optical. I deeply regret switching from America's Best, which truly lives up to its name in terms of both price and quality. Additionally, Betty exhibited deplorable business and customer service practices. She had the bad manner of hanging up on calls and not answering calls based on caller ID. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and further highlights the lack of professionalism at JCPenney Optical.
User's recommendation: AMERICAN BEST for best quality and prices.

This place is just great. I first went there a few years ago, and then went somewhere else due to my insurance, but then came running back because even supposedly high-end places can't match it (the other place got my prescription completely wrong). Appointments are surprisingly easy to make, and Dr. Perl once again not only nailed my prescription perfectly, but I love the way he actually takes the time to explain why your vision is the way it is and what your options are and listening to you, instead of just treating you like a number and writing the prescription and showing you the door. Then you have the staff, who are not just super friendly but help you get a good deal... a special shout out to Betty, who helped with a complicated order and was always accessible and never acted like I was taking up too much of her time. Highly recommended.

Visited Dr. Jeffrey Perl for my annual checkup early January /this year and again took special care of my vision needs. Along with his assistants Betty & Frances ; they combine a mix of professional and courteous care which I appreciate very much. This is my optometry for sure!

I had an absolutely amazing experience with the eye doctor. He is knowledgeable and professional, very trust worthy with lots of experience in the field. I have to mention Frances and Betty, both fine ladies were awesome, with more than 25 plus years of experience there is no question they can’t answer. They are always there to help you no matter what, they will go the extra mile to help you find the right contacts, the right frames at the best price. Excellent place for the entire family.

As a returning customer, JCPenney optical never let's me down. I have bought my contact lenses and glasses from them for many years. The staff including Betty Gonzalez are very professional and courteous. Great team!

Great staff. The optometrist, Dr. Perl was very informative, kind and took his time to make sure everything was ok. The staff was insightful on the types of glasses that they had and anything extra you wanted to know. Payment was reasonably priced and they follow-up after your exam. I was very pleased with my visit.
