The Marathon area in Miami offers a mixed experience depending on what you’re looking for. While it has its charms and is known for its relaxed vibe, there are a few areas where it falls short compared to other parts of Miami.
On the positive side, the area has a laid-back atmosphere that can feel like a nice escape from the busier, more tourist-heavy parts of the city. It’s a decent spot for outdoor activities like fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the waterfront. The proximity to the water and occasional scenic views can be quite enjoyable, especially during sunrise or sunset.
However, the area does feel somewhat underdeveloped compared to other Miami neighborhoods. The dining options are limited, with few standout restaurants offering anything memorable. If you’re used to the upscale eateries and vibrant food scene in places like Brickell or Wynwood, you might find this area underwhelming. Shopping and entertainment options are also sparse, which can leave visitors looking for more to do.
The infrastructure could use improvement as well. Some roads feel worn, and the general upkeep of the area doesn’t match the polished vibe you’ll find in other parts of Miami. Depending on the time of year, traffic heading in or out of the area can also be frustrating, adding to the inconvenience.

Convenient location. Kept clean. Some in-store items are a lil overpriced, but the gas prices are always compatible.

The car wash service at this gas station is a complete rip off. No detergent, water only. Almost $5 for nothing. When I came back to tell the clerk what happened, she said that there is detergent in the machine but it's a kind of detergent that is not visible Lol A total rip off, keep away from this car wash guys.

This place, twice, I put gas at 93 and my car had problems because if the gas doesn't have the octonage that it should have, my car won't run and I had problems with that twice and I avoid having to put fuel here.

I have been buying for 15 years, filling the tank and everything there since I live next door, but the last couple of months it has really been in decline, even with the exaggerated increase in prices of the products it was still going, until today, which was the last straw. When I am going to pay, he asks me for the card, passes it and in the end tells me that I have to give him my pin code to make the purchase. I explain to him that the pin code of a card cannot be given since it is something personal and very delicate. and he told me that the Manager had told him to ask for it...! Something that seems very delicate, dangerous and I think partly illegal that they are requiring you to give your card PIN to be able to buy...!
