I felt like Miami has lost a beautiful theater, I really wanted to see how much the old place had to offer. I wish I would have seen it in its glorious days. Besides my curiosity for this antique building, the Van Gogh visuals recreation is alright. I think it is for a one time occasion only. It is an animated experience of some of his paintings which helps you reaffirm the characteristics style and his talent. Very appropriate for children. I definitely recommend it.

The Van Gogh experience is a must see in Miami! It's absolutely the perfect layout to soak in all the beautiful that is the work of Van Gogh. The tour is self guided and is completed in about 90 mins with the use of VR at the end. The VIP passes were an extra perk as the VR and a poster was included. One of the few things to be aware of is the local traffic with construction. Be sure to check for the road closures prior to leaving for the best plan at parking. All ages should be brought to embrace the beauty of this experience.

Paid good money for the tickets to this place only to be subjected to poor AC and a broken projector. I think it’s very irresponsible to subject customers to poor AC in the middle of this heatwave, especially considering the price of the tickets. Staff, however, was very nice and understanding. Very disappointed, had good reviews, but the broken AC and projector did not make me feel like I was getting my tickets worth.

Check To See If A/C If Fixed Before You Book.Van Gogh Exibit was marvelous, and I thought it was worth staying even though it was hot when we got there. It got progressively worse, and my teenage grandchild kept asking to leave.Greetting Staff should have said something. ?Only when I mentioned it did anyone acknowledge the broken A/C.The exhibit is in a 1926 histotic building with Moorish Architecture in downtown Miami

This review isn't about the theater itself, but about the Van Gogh experience currently occupying it.I'm at such a loss as to why so many people have consistently raved about this experience. We missed opportunities to see this when it was in Atlanta and Seattle, and finally caught it today in Miami but while I wish I could say, "third time's the charm," the reality is that I wish we'd missed this entirely because it was incredibly underwhelming. First, you weave through a couple of rooms where you read a whole lot of biographical information on Van Gogh, nothing that most of you won't know or won't find on Wikipedia. There's a partial replica of his bedroom in Arles where you can take photos to post on Instagram or whatever, but the main event is a 35-minute "screensaver," for lack of a better term, (like you'd find on your old Windows 95 computer).Basically, you go into this big room, sit in a chair, and watch as Van Gogh's paintings are projected onto screens that wrap around the room. Cool ... for a couple of minutes, and then the effect wears off. There's a 2017 movie called "Loving Vincent" (highly recommended) that's all about Van Gogh and is animated in the style of a Van Gogh painting. Basically, this exhibit was trying to be that, but fell miserably short. But that wasn't the worst of it ... We paid the extra $5 each for the VR experience, and the attendant fastened our headsets to our heads and then quickly left without enquiring about the fit or anything. My headset was much too tight with my glasses on, and I was fighting trying to readjust it so that I wouldn't miss anything. Meanwhile, my wife's video was blurry the entire time. When you consider that two tickets to the exhibit including the VR experience cost over $100, you leave feeling like you've been completely scammed. You can visit many of the world's best museums, some of them for free, and come away having had an infinitely better experience at a much lower price point. A shame.

This theater is so beautiful! A historic building with lovely architectural aspects inside and out. Being in this space for an exhibit, the Theater shines through, creating an epic background palette for exciting exhibits (I visited most recently for the Van Gogh exhibit). It's so nice to find a theater that hasn't been gutted or 100% modernized inside, leaving so many beautiful spaces and moments here. Even the bathrooms were cool! I love that the OG ticket taker booth is still intact and stuck on the sidewalk a few paces away from the theater itself. I hope this theater last for a long time!
