I always enjoy checking out art and you can find this contemporary modern art gallery in the Miami Design District in Paradise Plaza. What is now the Opera Gallery started out in 1994, as exhibition spaces in Paris and in Singapore. They have since expanded to 13 galleries in New York, Miami, Miami Bal Harbour, Aspen, London, Monaco, Geneva, Dubai, Beirut, Hong Kong and Seoul. The Opera Gallery represents 20 different Contemporary and modern masters in the mediums of painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography and video. They sell works by Marc Chagall, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Robert Indiana, Roy Lichtenstein, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, ,Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, Pablo Atchugarry, Fernando Botero, André Brasilier, Marc Quinn, and Ellen von Unwerth among others. In addition to selling art they also facilitate museum exhibitions, special projects, and commissions. One of my favorite artists they represent is Spanish artist Manolo Valdés. I love Mariposas, his head sculptures with butterflies surrounding it. They have a really large installation in Sunny Isles. I also love his Spanish ladies sculptures. There was one on display in downtown Doral and they have the same purple quartz figure in front of the gallery. I was looking forward to checking out all of the art in the gallery but I got a frosty reception from the woman working there who told me not to go upstairs but couldn't be bothered to look up from her phone. I guess you have to look like you can afford it to be welcomed here.

Wow, what a fantastic gallery - fantastic stuff inside. Staff were also not snooty at all, and happy for you to take pictures. They also have some of their art dotted outside in the plaza. This store is located in Miami design district in a new plaza there, it is on two floors with doors accessible from the ground floor and also the first floor. Here is some info about them - Opera Gallery Miami has moved to its new permanent location in Paradise Plaza. Opera Gallery first opened its doors in Singapore in 1994 and has flourished into a network of 13 internationally recognized galleries with a vital presence in the art capitals of the world including New York, Aspen, London, Paris, Monaco, Geneva, Zurich, Dubai, Beirut, Hong Kong, Singapore and Seoul. The Opera Gallery is located at the design district, which is a greta place for a nice walk or shopping but mostly to enjoy wonderful architecture designs stores which are art itself. The Opera Gallery just add a bit of a great french flavor to the district.
