Sixt promotes but does not abide by what it promotes. Agents over the phone state a car is available for a whole month but then they expect a deposit ever so often or every single time. Also the scheme of returning an amount after payment (like for example small payments of $50) seems very disorganized, when they can just credit that for the next reservation with the same individual knowing they have the car for a month. There is an on-going situation with Sixt on a consistent basis. Again everything seems great at first but then different agents add different policies and states like New York and Florida do not follow same policies. For example, the way an address is verified or limiting to a month to month car rental.

Beware of Sixt, Unethical Billing & No Customer Support.Beware - they overcharge your card by huge amounts! Customer care then nearly impossible to reach. As is stands I've spent nearly 1 hour on the phone trying to recover nearly $2000 that was overcharged without any luck.

I select one star bc there is not zero. I rented a Van for two days and I received it full of water in the trunk. I realized when I got home to pack and not only that, also with grease over the seat. I placed the claim right there and the following day they apologized and representative was supposed to contact us. It never happened. When we returned we showed the water that was still there to the agent receiving the car. She took notes and wrote our complain in the back windshield. 10 days letter they were billing us for $755.28 for smoking and special detailing cleaning. We haven't smoked never ever in my life. If you look there are others reviews like this. Do not use this company ever. You can not trust them!

This is the worst rental company in the world I rented I vehicle from them the vehicle got stolen I reported to the company and the police they told that it would be fine the security team will work on it for me so I leave it alone a month later they email me a told me that they have the vehicle and my bill is 5 thousand dallors I will be getting a lawyer

Mary isn't there anymore. The first week I rented without her I got charged over $37 on my card. I returned the car as was given and when a full tank of gas. No one responded to my email. Have to go in when I get back from out of the country to ask why I had this charge. Never happened when Mary was there.

Rented car for Vacation to Cudjoe Key. Raimol was extremely pushy insisting we buy "extra" insurance. Like idiots we did thinking it was necessary. . Also told us there were 4 or 5 tolls on our route, the toll pass would save us so much money..THERE IS ONE TOLL!! We paid $65 for a $2.96 toll...took complete advantage of us. God only knows how many other people he's done this to...BEWARE!!

The experience was phenomenal. It was great. The guy that helped us his name was Jose. He was so patient kind understanding. We are definitely going to work directly with this company because they are just so phenomenal and awesome. The customer service is one of the best I’ve ever seen with a car, rental company and sixt is the best. The car was clean it smelled nice. It was running 100% like it was amazing.

EVEN WITH A DEATH INVOLVED THEY ARE A HORRIBLE COMPANY. THEY WOULD NOT REFUND over -$400 when a TRAGIC DEATH took place the day we needed to pick the car up!!! My friend and I, from CA, were going to the Florida Keys. Hours before we were supposed to pick up the rental car in Miami, we received word that her husband had been hit by a car and died. NOT ONLY DID SHE LOSE HER HUSBAND BUT HER KIDS SAW IT HAPPEN! We immediately left for the airport to get her back to CA - this was at 4:00 am in the morning. As soon as we arrived in CA, I contacted them to provide details of the death and that I needed to cancel the car. They said no. I provided all the press releases about the death, our original flight details, and emergency flight details, and screenshot from People magazine, all the news agencies, etc talking about the accident. Again they said no. YES, THE ACCIDENT WAS SO TRAGIC THAT THE ACCIDENT WAS PICKED UP BY INTERNATIONAL PRESS. They are saying because it wasn't my husband the death does not count. Even though I provided details proving we were on the trip together and I had to get her home safely. SHE WAS DISTRAUGHT. NIXT DOES NOT CARE THAT THERE WAS A TRAGIC DEATH! All they care about is keeping my $400 even though I never used the car or had the ability to do so. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED! Do not use this agency! THEY HAVE NO HEART!

do not ever rent from Sixt. Do not be tempted by Sixt plus. It has been the worst rental car experience I have ever had. What ever level of "cheapness" is an illusion and you will be scammed. The employees at their branches are consistently very nice and helpful. But dealing with anything else in this company is some of the worst I've ever encountered. Horrific customer support taking days to reply to simple questions about ... missing money. Undocumented charges with no explanation. Avoid at all costs. This company is utter crap and you will save money by just booking direct with another reliable company. I suggest sticking to enterprise.

Horrible company. Claim 3 small scratches cost 900.00 + to fix. Crooks is what they are. The picture with the two items circled wasn’t even discussed at time of drop off. Be extremely careful. This company has no morals and their employees are trained to fabricate damage. Do your due diligence. This car wasn’t clean upon picking up and I didn’t think twice about checking for damage. Just needed to go. They have definitely created a program to supplement their rental income. Renter beware.

I rented a car from Sixt in Miami airport in October 2022. At the time of rental, I declined buying tolls up front. The Sixt rental agent told me that I would pay the actual tolls I used. A week later, I received a bill of over $180 for tolls, which is outrageous since I didn't drive that much. What happened was Sixt had tagged $5 service charge for each toll I used. For each small toll of 15 or 25 cents, Sixt added $5 service charge! So I called Sixt but they wouldn't budge. I called my credit card company but was told it was stated in rental contract in fine prints.Be careful when you rent a car from Sixt and drive on tollways. Read the fine prints. Or better yet, avoid Sixt at all.

They Charge me $388 on Camry for 2 day rental, that had problems and they didn't solve. Worst car rental in Miami Airport. Still waiting for a call from Management. I paid for all the insurance to be trouble free. And was stranded and none helped. My spare was flat too. Service engine light came on! Road side assitance was worthless and Rude.

This was my first time renting from this company, and thank God i didn't check out the reviews first. I rented the car from Miami Airport with no issues. My sales agent was friendly and helpful. They offered me all the extras that I denied. The car was a cute Nissan Sentra that served its purpose for me during the trip. I loved that I was able to use the Android connect to use the navigation system and my already customized music. Most importantly, it was great on gas, and I did a lot of driving. I returned the car to Fort Lauderdale Airport early, around 6AM, with no issues. The car was returned clean and filled with gas. The young lady checked the vehicle and said all was well. i would use this car rental company again.

SIXT car rental in Miami Airport went above and beyond. We rented a beautiful BMW coupe. Our flight was delayed and the staff waited on us to arrive minutes before closing time. We were in and out within minutes. The staff was very professional and made everything smooth and easy. The car was so much fun to drive and the price was unbelievable compared to the style of the car. Drop off was a breeze minutes from the Cruise Port of Miami. We would absolutely rent from SIXT again in the future.
