What can I NOT say about UPS. In today's economy with large retailer closing there doors and more people are looking towards the internet for their everyday shopping, these express shipping companies have taken on a new importance like never before, but what about service? Throughout the years no one has done it better than UPS. They are huge and can practically deliver a package not only anywhere in the USA, but world as well and for that alone they should deserve a 5 star rating, right? Last month I decided to order a new 49" OLED Computer monitor from an online retailer that eventually sourced stock from a third party and used UPS as shiPping company. What should have been delivered in one week turned into two weeks and nothing, so I decide to use shippers tracking information and supposedly package was in Miami and set for delivery. Another week goes by and UPS is no were to be seen with shipment, so online search with tracking status hasn't changed, so process of calling them starts and I quickly find out that you can only call on certain hours during day, but eventually get a hold of a very friendly CSR that tell me that contact information was not given and they would not risk leaving Package at door (driver never left notice at door either) so I decided to schedule best time and go pick up at terminal. To make a long story short I arrived at a very noisy and busy terminal and had to wait for one hour before they finally found box and I was on my way home with new computer monitor. Overall was not 100% happy with service, but was very impressed by three things 1. They didn't loose box and where conceRned enough not to risk leaving expensive item at front door. 2. Customer service was very friendly and helpful 3. Although I had to wait one hour for my package they were concerned enough about what was ggoing on by keepiing me updated what was going on and making fresh Cuban coffee while I waited. Overall prefer to buy next big ticket electronic in retail store, but would give UPS credit for making sure That altgot my product in good condition although shipper didn't give them correct information they made sure I eventually got my big ticket item without a loss.
