Walked out with a pair of men’s shoes, hubby was trying them on in car immediately after and noticed a rip. So brought them back in less than 5 minutes and the lady at the front was gracious enough to let me exchange them! She was super sweet and pleasant.
**But one thing I have to mention is my husband went to the bathroom at the same time (after me) and he was told no, you can’t use the restroom?!! That was completely wrong. Maybe some workers are racist against men or what?
Otherwise everything was great! Thank you, I’ll be back next time I’m in town.”
“Family Thrift is a non profit that provides families in need in Broward, Miami, and Palm Beach with clothing and furniture. They will pick up your gently used clothing and furniture for their stores here in Margate and in Lauderhill. They also do buy outs so their stores are a mixture of new and used items. They have this store in Lauderhill and another one in Margate. I had fun sorting through the treasures. They had clothes, furniture, household goods, decorations, and collectibles. There was a lot of things to look at and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of inventory. Everything was neat, organized, and fairly priced. I saw several people who looked like resellers picking up items and checking prices on their phones before popping it into their carts. If you see something you like grab it. If you enjoy thrifting you will want to check this store out.”

“I love out of the closet! On this day they were having a mega sale on a plethora of clothes in the parking lot, $2 per item. They do that every once in a while but they have the best men’s selection for a thrift store in the area. They have tons of selections especially for jeans and shirts, which are color coordinated, as well as books! It’s the best place to beef up your book collection for only $1 a book sometimes. They also have a pharmacy inside so you can shop.”

Most thrift stores these days have raised their prices but this place had a great selection (especially for being a small store) and even better prices. “Needed a transport type wheelchair, but Wal-Mart was nearly $200, found one in Goodwill Margate store priced at $15. in very good condition. Made by Drive. Half the weight of a full wheelchair. Thrilled. If you can't find it, check back in a few weeks. They might have one.”
“Cancel your plans for the afternoon - This place is a full-blown treasure hunt in the best way possible. Racks, rows, shelves and bins for days. If you think you are just popping in for a quick look, think again. You could spend an entire day here and still find something new hiding in plain sight. One minute you are flipping through racks, the next you are holding something you did not know you needed until that exact moment. The lady who works there is the cherry on top. Friendly, welcoming, and very fair with pricing. No awkward hovering, just good vibes and honest deals. If you love thrifting, digging, and the thrill of finding that one perfect item, this place is a must.”

“What you're looking at are all my findings of 2025! Lol no, this wasn't all in one day, but rather many days to months since I always keep coming back. The staff is very nice and there are great prices for many items. I'm considered a Gen Z, but I also have a warm, fuzzy spot for physical media, and after all, I was born at the right time when VHS was still common. If you're searching specifically for VHS, CDs, etc. I promise you that YOU WILL SCORE!”

Proceeds from the thrift store benefits the church mission programs like Hope Women's Center and Blessings in a Backpack which provides food insecure local elementary students with food every weekend. Thankfully the trailer was air conditioned. There are three rooms with men's, women's, and children's clothing, toys, household goods, and small appliances. There wasn't a huge amount of stuff but what they had was well organized and clearly marked. They even had some free bins as you walked in. Note that they are cash only. I ended up purchasing a decorative urn for only $5. I am going to try my hand at flower arranging with it. I would definitely stop in here again and there are a number of other thrift stores in the area as well.”
“The thrift store at St Ambrose Episcopal Church is amazing. Five rooms full of everything you need for yourself, kids, pets, and home. A lot of vintage finds are priced well below what I've seen at the Salvation Army or Goodwill. Open Saturdays from 9 to 12 pm only. A must!”

Anyways, I've been donating here for many years now and the personnel are always nice and efficient and the inside is clean. It is only accepting donations, there is no store. They offer receipts. Today I left some clothes. Highly recommend using this service!:)”
