Booked 3PM. I get there. "Sir I won't know if I have a car until 530PM... You have to call the 800 number." I call. I have to give all the info... It will take 3-10 days for a refund. Foul.

Stay far away from these clowns. We reserved a car to pick up on a Saturday morning. We received an email confirmation of our reservation and thought we were good to go. We arrived at the location and they told us they did not have a car for us. What an absolute mess. Luckily, the Hertz rental place down the road had a car for us, but at double the price. I'll will never do business with this company again.

Not sure how a business that NEVER answers its phone or answers messages from the corporate office manages to maintain a franchise. I will NEVER rent from Budget again.

Rented our car in Fort Myers and was to return it in Ocala. A few days before we needed to return the vehicle we still needed one so rented another, cheaper vehicle, for an additional 2 weeks. When my husband went to return the first vehicle he was told the other vehicle wasn't available and to just keep the first vehicle with no additional charges. Didn't seem like a problem until we got a call from loss prevention saying we hadn't returned the vehicle and basically we were driving around in a stolen vehicle. I called two different numbers and spoke with one individual who said he would help me and after about 10 minutes of going around and around with this guy, he kept saying we would owe a couple thousand and that essentially yes we hadn't returned the vehicle and wouldn't listen to a word I said. It appears this guy was supposed to give us new paperwork for keeping the vehicle and it didn't happen. I ended up driving to the place and the guy said he called several times through the day to tell us that there was a vehicle available to exchange and that it wasn't his fault. We didn't get any additional charges and no hassle to return at the end but do not go here. We went to enterprise after and it was a completely different experience. They actually got off their ass and showed us the vehicle and inspected it with us.

Budget Truck knowingly endangered my life and safety, encouraged me to break the law and commit illegal acts, violate their own rental agreement, and is charging me for delays that they themselves caused. On Oct 5th I picked up a reserved truck for a cross country move from Ocala, Fl. Budget did not do their own 10-point inspection before issuing the truck, it had an empty tank and no gas cap. The parking of the vehicle did not allow for the inspection of the tires and no damage was marked on the rental sheet reflecting damage. I drove the truck 100mi to my storage unit and when parked noticed that all of the tires had severe damage and one tire even had a plug in it. I called budget and demanded a new truck, which they refused, so the sent out roadside assistance. The roadside tech explained that an inspection was not done by Budget and that this truck was not mechanically sound to drive. He also noticed that there was no tag or registration on the vehicle. Budget recommended that I drive a damaged vehicle with no tag/reg back to Ocala to swap it out. I was delayed 3 days while repairs were made to the truck and had to spend $450 on hotels as a result. Budget claimed that I would not be charged for the delayed return and that my rental contract would be extended. After returning the truck Budget charged me $369.37 without authorization for two days late. Budget Truck knowingly issued me a truck that was mechanically unsound and without tag/reg putting my life and safety in grave danger and encouraged me to commit a crime. These actions violate both state & federal law and are a violation of The Consumer Product Safety Act of 1978. I have gotten conflicting reports and have been unable to resolve this issue via customer service. I formally demand to be refunded for my entire rental as well as reimbursed for both hotels, the wiper blades I had to replace on their vehicle, and the late return charge (Total: $2,608.79). Contract #1808368690547Do not use Budget and ESPECIALLY do not use Budget of Ocala. They refused to answer their phones after calling multiple times a day for 7 days. This was the worst rental experience of my life, cost me over $1,000 more than planned and my job that I was moving across the country for, avoid these soulless human beings no matter what!

Despite an online reservation and confirmation number, I arrived to be told there were no vehicles available. Very frustrating.

Booked a truck about a week in advance, when I arrived they said they did not have any trucks. They did not notify me before hand and employee did not help at all. I called customer service and they said they would look at other places in the area, ended up going to the uhaul down the road and getting a truck immediently with helpful customer service.

Don't bother booking online, you'll show up and they'll tell you you don't have a truck. Don't bother trying to call, they never answer their phone to confirm whether or not they have trucks in stock. Absolutely zero help other than telling me to go essentially go away.

Very misleading. I'm told one thing on the phone then when I go in to pick up the truck they want to add $300.00 worth of charges that I had already asked about over the phone. No I will not be using this company

Worst customer service! Needed a truck quick made a reservation and given a confirmation. Since I run a large resort. I am use to online bookings. Robert was very rude and told me they had no trucks. However 3 sat outside in the parking area. But ok. When I asked how come? He began to tell me I should not have gone online. I stated wished I could run my business like that.,take money but not have what is promised. He got nasty and told me I should have called. When I told him he didn't have to be rude. He told me to leave. Well I did. And called budget. My company has 268 properties nation wide. And we have a corporate account. Guess who lost our business? That goes for Avis. We will pull our advertising and we will no longer refer. Treat people the way you wanted to be treated. And remember you never know who you might be talking to. They maybe the ones who advertise for u or even a big customer.

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever received. After renting a truck for my move through the phone and speaking with two customer service reps on the phone to confirm that my truck size was available, I drove 45 mins to this location. At my arrival, the only employee working was outside on a "smoke break" and told us in an aggressive tone that he did not have any trucks and to go home. He did not seem to care at all about our concerns and was speaking--more like yelling to us--in a very rude, insolent, disrespectful way. He kept telling to us to go away and did not let us into the store until 20 mins later after our heated discussion in the parking lot. He did nothing to help us, not even cancel our reservation. Never felt as insulted in my life from an associate from any store. I was traveling with my parents who are of older age and since they were getting stressed and nervous I decided to leave so they wouldn't stress more. I later spoke to their customer service on the phone to report the incident. Whoever owns this location need to terminate this employee immediately. I will never be renting from this company ever again. Definitely wish I could give this place a 0 starts review. I deeply regret not reading the reviews before renting because apparently this has been an issue since 2013. Definitely very irresponsible not serious from Budget to not do anything about this constant issue.

We rented a truck from Budget Truck Rental in Covina, CA, for a cross country move. First, the person showing the truck pointed out that the tire restraint was missing the spring, and my very strong husband to tighten down good and go. Of course, my husband tightened it down with all of his might. Yet, twice, the harness broke free. We got in to find the fan and AC buttons didn't turn at all. It was stuck on AC, so I froze with blankets on that night. As well, the truck was filthy. It looked like it had only been vacuumed EVER. ***When we arrived, our car wouldn't start. Come to find out, the harness restraint issue caused our steering column/lock to break. In other words, we no longer had a working vehicle.*** We called corporate, and before my husband could get out the story, they hung up on us 3 times. When we went into the Budget the next day, they said we'd have to wait until Monday to speak to claims. We had to rent a car on our own dime. The Budget place at the Airport in Ocala, didn't help. They did rent us a car on our dime, and said, "it's the red Ford Fusion." We walked all over the lot, and could not find it. It was very hot. My husband walked back in, and he said, "It is in the other lot." We walked to the other lot and pushed panic to find it. Meanwhile, Enterprise next door was professionally walking people to their vehicles with a smile. Never again, Budget.
