“Quite possibly the greatest GW in Central FL - one of the best around. Excellent selection and usu in good shape; organized. Love the selection of books and men's clothing. Shoes for men are a bit too pricey for me and comparable to Marshall's, Ross, tjmaxx, so do with that info what u will. I have been blessed to find some of the most unique items for my home and work from here, at incredibly affordable pricing.”
“I love this little store. I always find good buys. A few things are new, never used. And they are close to where I live. I called about an item I had thought about buying yesterday and they still had it today. They said they would hold it for me until I could get over to buy it in an hour or so. Such a big help. I love that they help animals. I try to leave a donation every time I shop there. Not much but every little bit helps. Hope they can stay in business for years to come.”
“Love, love, love Nikki's Furniture & Decor! When we were building our DeLand home in 2021 we found the selection at Nikki's to be fabulous ... and the furniture was mainly made I. America or Canada. There are accent pieces that are made in Vietnam. We found this aspect to be a breath of fresh air after shopping the huge box stores! We purchased a guest bedroom suite of furniture, a sofa, cocktail table and two end tables. The prices are closet a tad higher than the big box stores, but we are willing to pay the difference for items that are not mass produced. Nikki and and her husband are personable and dynamic folks, and they stand behind their products. I can say with certainty that if I am in the market for furniture or decor, Nikki's will be my first choice!”
“So organized! They really make sure the clothes, shoes, books, and toys are in great shape before selling them. With today's retail prices skyrocketing and kids growing so fast, I'm very grateful for this alternative.”
“A true hidden gem. Thrift on 46 is a hidden gem! The store is clean, well organized, and full of amazing finds at great prices. The staff is friendly, helpful, and clearly cares about the community. I love how often the inventory changes—you never know what treasure you’ll discover. Whether you’re thrifting for clothes, home décor, or something unique, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!”

“If you hate thrifting because of the disorganization, this is your store! Everything is very well organized and in great condition. They have a huge array of clothing for men, women, and children. They have an entire wall of shoes. Even the bags and accessories are immaculately organized! There are toys, and a pretty decent maternity section with baby carriers, strollers, and more. All of it looks brand new! The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the condition. You won't find a single piece of stinky clothing in this store. In fact, the whole place smells very clean! I didn't end up buying anything today, but I will be back.”

“This is my favorite consignment store. The prices are great. The manager, Tammy, is sweet to everyone she meets. Everyone who helps out at the store is nice. I drive out of my just to come here.”
“Please use your own discretion when deciding to visit this thrift store. Reading the previous negative reviews are mind boggling.
Comparing SuperThrift to Goodwill is asinine at best.
First, let’s address the complaints:
Complaints about the music and prices regarding furniture are a bit much.
You cannot please everyone.
It’s a THRIFT STORE, for goodness’ sake.
And since people love comparisons…
Let’s not ignore Goodwill’s well-documented controversies in 2023, including their former CEO investigated for defrauding $1.4 million from the state, and they're accused of paying their disabled workers 22 cents and hour under special certificates. ?
So yes! ? cue eye roll at some of these reviews.
Now, here’s an honest review from a realistic “shopping connoisseur” with reasonable expectations—especially when it comes to thrift stores.
Pricing & Value
Prices are fair and very reasonable, especially compared to Goodwill.
Disclaimer: (Excluding furniture as I didn't go there for furniture).
Moving on...
Clothing is group-priced by category, not by brand:
Women’s dress shirts: ~$4.99
Women’s formal dresses: ~$6.99
Men’s dress shirts: ~$3.99
Jewelry: ~$2.99
What does that mean?
Whether it’s Tamara Mellon, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, or Forever 21 / Old Navy — it’s the same price.
Unlike Goodwill, where pricing is often inflated. A very used winter hat was being sold at Goodwill for over $6
Honestly, you can sometimes find brand-new items cheaper at Ross or Marshall’s than at Goodwill.
Quality
The quality and condition of items at SuperThrift are noticeably better than Goodwill. Just take a gander by each stores shoe section and let me know ?
Furniture and art are higher quality and better maintained.
Example: a large, sturdy, scratch-free mahogany credenza/armoire priced at $69.
I don’t flip furniture, but if that’s your complaint—maybe try:
Estate sales
Freecycle groups
Dumpster diving on trash day in upscale neighborhoods
Or the newly open Smart Buys in Sanford for other items...
Simply… pivot. Everything has gone up in price.
Sales & Extras
They run color-of-the-week/month discounts.
This week, Green tags were on sale at both stores.
Final Take
Go see it for yourself.
Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt.
If you understand what a thrift store is (and isn’t), SuperThrift is absolutely worth the visit.
P.S. I only snapped a few pic's because I actually wasn't going to write a review...I came to see what time they open lol. Nevertheless, I had tons of quality items for that low price. Had some dry cleaned items stolen from a vehicle and had to replace business attire.”
“This place was so interesting inside! It had a great many choices well laid out - it was small and packed full of things but not over-stuffed. We bought a small trinket. They had furniture, paintings, glassware, clothing, and more. Check it out - their stuff is amazing. The owner said that she discounts stuff that is over a few weeks old to always keep the inventory moving. That means it'll always be fresh stuff. A great approach! We will go back.”
“I don’t know why this place has so many one star reviews. Their prices are extremely fair. The place is cluttered but they do their best to go through everything and keep it organized. It gets disorganized very quickly because there is more stuff than they have space for. If you don’t want to dig for treasures this place is not for you lol.”

“Lots of home improvement supplies, but also have the usual thrift store finds like electronics, media, housewares and other knickknacks. Prices are fair and staff is kind.”

“Love this store. Been a few times now. Monday I purchased a recliner. It's like brand new!! $65.00!! I'm going to have a knee replacement and will have to sleep in it. It's now vacuumed and cleaned. It's absolutely beautiful. And so comfy. Great addition to my home. And everyone there is so nice and helpful.”
“This is a nice Goodwill retail shop that competes with the Teen Challenge Thrift next door and another local Goodwill store in Sanford. The inventory here is not as extensive as other Goodwill shops in Central Florida. It’s clean, well organized and has a friendly staff.”
“This is BY FAR one of the cleanest, most organized, best stocked, and friendliest staffed Goodwill I can say I have EVER been to!!! I am always very happy with my purchases from the Deland Goodwill.
From an accessible point of view- my daughter is always able to get her ‘Permobile’ throughout the shopping isles comfortably, the front door is a powered/ hands free double sliding door, and there are a ton of wheelchair friendly parking spots in the parking lot. ❤️”
“Very nice place, they have a lot of stuff and will paint any color you want your piece to be. They also have paint for furniture and glass, they paint leather also.”
